The Hill of the O'Neil truly exceeded my expectations with its unique blend of history and natural beauty. The site offers a perfect balance between the informative and the immersive, allowing visitors to delve into the intriguing stories of the O'Neil dynasty while enjoying the serenity of the surroundings. The views from the hill are absolutely stunning, offering a picturesque panorama of County Tyrone's countryside. Taking a leisurely walk through the site, surrounded by ancient ruins, was a truly enchanting experience. It's a perfect blend of history and natural beauty that will leave you feeling connected to the past and immersed in the tranquility of the surroundings. Additionally, the staff's warmth and passion for the site were evident throughout my visit, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to the experience. Whether you're a local or a visitor, a trip to the Hill of the O'Neil is a must. It's a place where history comes alive, where breathtaking views inspire, and where a walk through time leaves an indelible mark on your soul. Hill of the O'Neil in Dungannon is a must-visit spot that left me in awe. Whether you're a history buff or simply looking for a peaceful escape, Hill of the O'Neil is a gem that won't disappoint.

On a clear day, the views from The Hill of O'Neill are impressive. I was genuinely surprised by how many Northern Ireland landmarks I could see, for example, Lough Neagh, Slemish Moutain/ Antrim Plateau, the Belfast Hills and the Mourne Mountains. I've visited Dungannon on many occasions but have never ventured up here before and was impressed by how well designed the site is. The site is suitable for all mobility levels. There were plenty of picnic benches too and interesting information boards were dotted around the site. I visited early evening in April and the vehicular access gates were closed, but a pedestrian gate was open. The house was closed due the lateness of my visit. I would happily visit here again and would recommend it as a place to visit if ever in Dungannon.

Spent a fabulous morning here as part of an over 60's club. The history of the house and surrounding area is so interesting and the audio tour is most informative, as are the very pleasant and attentive staff. The gardens are beautiful to walk around and there are lots of benches scattered throughout on which to rest. The only thing I feel is lacking is an en site cafe, however, there are a few close by in the town centre. All and all, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would highly recommend to others.

I have to say I had a really good time visiting the Hill of the O'Neill. I have an interest in the Nine Years War, the O'Neill's and the native Irish language and history so it was a real thrill to visit. My tour guide was Mr. Peter Lant and he was really knowledgeable and interesting. The exhibition was really well done too. As a fan of Irish history I just thought it was great. It was also quite moving to stand on the hill and take in the views as the O'Neill Taoisigh would have done, imagining the scenes of the past. The well depicted in the picture of Aodh Mór Ó Néill's (Hugh O'Neill's) tower house is still there too. The three staff members I dealt with were all lovely and...
