When staying in the area, or passing through this is a must visit if not for the fantastic volunteers. On arrival, we were greeted by the fantastic receptionist who showed us which way to go. Once inside, we had the pleasure of meeting two gentlemen called Paul and Rodger who were absolutely fantastic in making us feel welcomed. The museum is free to enter and we were really grateful for the opportunity to step into a place full of industrial history.
We were provided with lots of information on the old steel works, life for employees of the works, all brought to life by the fantastic collection of photographs and artefacts in the museum collection.
Paul was also able to give us more information on local life, the runnings of the works and what production in the works was like. I learnt a lot of interesting facts about the local history of Ebbw Vale and the surrounding areas. It is fantastic to see the enthusiasm here for welsh heritage and we wish every success to the team. We would love to see this museum have a bigger footprint within the building it is situated in as they need more space to display things. You made our stay in the area more personable and we will hopefully be back to explore the area or surrounding areas...

Highly recommended! Please donate, there's no fee to view or need to book for...
