Isle of Portland — Attraction in England

Portland has so much to offer from an abundance of art galleries and cafes to its breathtaking views. The sculpture park is always worth a visit as it's great fun finding all the intricate carvings made by students and professionals. The beach is perfect for a picnic or a family day out (just don't feed the seagulls!) And there is plenty of wonderful family friendly pubs great for either a night out or a decent meal (my personal favourite is The Little Ship because of its location, great food, and reasonable prices) there's also the Portland sailing academy! The sailing academy is great for events but also for sports and water based activities, a cycle path loops round the entire thing so if you fancy a bike ride its a place you can't miss! Don't forget Portland Castle!! The castle is ripe with history and a great day out for the family with its own little beach...

Portland Dorset is an amazing island full of so much history, from the jurassic Coast line, 1st and 2nd world wars. Prisons on the island, sculpture parks, Portland Bill, lighthouse, walks, climbing, food places, castles , coves , rich history in Quarries of Portland Stone. Amazing views ,sunsets by the heights hotel, and sunrises that blow your mind. Long history of fishing, having an Olympics here, and now having Sailing Academy.
