Five Gold Stars for the Sugar Loaf Café Portland.
Five Gold Stars because their food and service is so good. I have visited the Sugar Loaf Café on Portland several times, and I have always been impressed with the quality of their food, and the personal service that I have received.
They have a very extensive menu with about 20 main courses, and also 20 desserts, which is quite surprising for such a small Café. Of course everything is homemade and is cooked to perfection on the premises. And yes they do cater for vegetarians, and people with food allergies. Although I think they would get a prize for their Steak Pie!
They also sell their own chutney and marmalades as well as their delicious cakes. I have tried various items on the menu and always been very satisfied with my selection. it is really nice to get good home cooked quality food and service. Their prices are quite competitive, and reasonable in comparison to many other restaurants

I have given the Sugar Loaf Café Five Gold Stars in my survey, because they have earned...

As far as I could tell everyone enjoyed their breakfast and I am sure we will visit again should we be in that neck of the woods in future. I would recommend this place to anyone...

It took a while for our order to be taken, as we were able to look through the menu for both food and drinks before anyone came to the table. It is not a problem and the staff were pleasant, it is just not what we are used to. The food took some time to come and our orders came at different times (about 5 mins apart). The food did taste homemade. It would have been nice to have the menu state that the quiche is...
