Ruined by the owner. Do not go here !! So rude and seriously seem to believe that they have something so good that they can treat people like rubbish and they will just take it. We arrived 1 min late for our booking and the course was almost empty. We went in separate cars to some friends as we had booked two time slots one after the other with a view of just following each other round the course but maintaining social distancing and respecting the guidelines. 5 kids in all, and three adults. On arrival two ladies leaving the course warned us not to bother and we wish we had listened!! The owner told us we were 1 min late and the next slot was in about 25 mins. Accepted it, apologised and stood in the carpark in the rain with two three year olds and two other young children waiting for the next slot. NOONE ELSE CAME TO PLAY. We had been left there to be taught a lesson !! Went back to the kiosk at the relevant time and was met with some very defensive statements from the owner about not asking for our money back. Not sure what that was about but can only assume its a common request (unsurprisingly). Our friend and his young son went in first and no sooner were they inside but he was told to get his (excited 3 year old) son back as it "isnt a playground". Firstly, all he did was walk in and secondly, not being funny but a small dinosaur mini golf is essentially.... a type of playground !!! Owner then completed a 10 minute rant about rules and regulations making it feel so uncomfortable that the enjoyment was already disappearing. Even though no suggestion was made otherwise the owner also proceeded to tell our friend that she would see to it that we did not get anywhere near each others families. So to do this she waited until they got to hole 13 and had still not even acknowledged us !! At this point, having stood in the rain for almost an hour we (much to the sadness of the kids) decided enough was enough, she had flexed her muscles enough and stamped her authority. Strangely, as soon as we started walking off she came running out to see where we were going. Funnily enough noone else arrived to play the whole time we were there.. Absolutely disgusting treatment and we were nothing but polite and the kids, incredibly well behaved. Only thing I would recommend about this place is giving it a miss. Unfortunately most of the older good reviews on here are from before it was changed / new owners so beware as it...
Read moreI visited the centre today and whilst this isn't about the experience it is about the level of customer service we received. When we arrived we realised that we would not be in a position fulfil our booking today. As we booked on the day we knew that it was not standard policy for us to receive a full refund.
This should not be expected as their policy is clear. I explained the circumstances to the guys in the club house, they explained that this required approval from management. The level of empathy, politeness and professionalism whilst explaining this was exemplary. Due to our specific circumstances the manager approved the full refund within 25 minutes.
We may not return for mini golf, but with the summer months approaching and the kindness of the team I can see myself making a special visit to sample their Ice Cream which looked delicious! Thank you team...
Read moreHidden gem - driven past this mini golf so many times and never visited. We finally gave it a try and were really impressed. From the road and carpark the course looks small and unimpressive. But once you get in and are on the course it is lovely. The holes are all very different so there is always a surprise round the corner. All are challenging and reward good strategy and skill. On a hot and sunny day there is plenty of shade and drinks and lollies in plentiful supply. The water hazards give the course a lovely aesthetic and add to the challenge. Finally, the staff are warm and friendly with plenty of help and advice for the novices in our group. Very enjoyable...
