Never Never Land...Without Peter Pan?
Right, let's get one thing straight. I'm not saying Peter Pan Park in Hull is bad.
It's...pleasant. It's got your standard park stuff: swings, a slide, a bit of green. You could take your kids there and they'd probably have a decent enough time, assuming they're easily pleased. But here's the thing: WHERE IS PETER PAN? I mean, come on! It's called PETER PAN PARK. You'd think there'd be at least a statue, or a themed playground, or SOMETHING. But no. Nada. Zilch. Not even a dodgy bloke in green tights lurking in the bushes (which, to be fair, is probably for the best).
I spent a good hour wandering around, convinced I was missing something. I peered into every tree, expecting to see a tiny house. I interrogated squirrels about the whereabouts of the Lost Boys. I even tried crowing like a rooster, hoping to summon Peter. Nothing.
The closest I got was a slightly creepy statue of a fairy that looked like it had seen some things. Maybe it knew where Peter was hiding, but it wasn't telling. So, if you're looking for a park where you can relive your childhood fantasies of flying to Neverland, this ain't it. But if you're content with a bog-standard park with a misleading name, then fill your boots. Just don't expect any pixie dust.
Pro Tip: If you're desperate for a Peter Pan fix, try shouting "I do believe in fairies!" at the top of your lungs. It won't bring Peter Pan, but it might attract some weird looks, which is almost as...

Very little noise and it gives you chance to...

There have been park regeneration in East Park and Pearson Park with lottery cash and West park has been improved as part of the stadium project
I think it's time to find a way to bring Peter Pan Park back...
