Ripon Spa Gardens — Attraction in England

Lovely gardens; excellent bowling green and crazy golf. The Sun Parlour Café is great, friendly staff, very good service! The coffee is freshly prepared and is delicious. Yorkshire Tea is used as well and it is great quality. You can have a light meal and there is a good range of cakes, biscuits and soft drinks. You can eat in and eat out. Don't forget to look at the excellent range of books on offer!

Flower beds are beautiful and the car tree carvings are marvelous. There is a band stand in the centre of the park and lots of lovely trees to see. You can easily spend half a day here and there are frequent events taking place at various times of the year.

Spa Gardens are an absolute haven for anyone wishing to have a rest from shopping in Ripon as it's a short distance from the centre. Walk around the gardens whilst listening to the birds, enjoy the scenery and beautiful plants, and maybe see an exhibition. Challenge the children to find the Green Man then have fun at the crazy golf. A must, and regular for cyclists from North and West Yorkshire is Sun Parlour, offering snacks and meals to meet many tastes. Plenty of space, lots of trees to explore, &a few short walks round the gardens - I saw a lady in an electric wheelchair go round several paths so it must be a fairly stable surface. There's a little cafe with a few outside tables & some public toilets. I think you can get the clubs & balls for crazy golf in there as well. Over the road is a small children's play area - small enough to feel safe, big enough for 3 sets of swings, a roundabout, a seesaw, a slide, a climbing frame & net, & a few benches to sit on.
