Pituresque Epsom and Ashtead Common They are joined by large tracks There is parking in a few locations depending on your route. This is a wonderful place for many, dog walkers, walkers, cyclists, photographers etc. We always take some hot coffee, as there are no refreshments. A definite take wellies and a spare pair of warm socks in the winter. Catch the sun as it gets pretty cold when the sun is not out. Enjoy all seasons as the tranquility when in the quieter areas is divine, just the sound of the birds dancing in your head. There are literally miles of walks again depending on your fitness, kids will love it too.

We wandered through the eastern half, taking about a 1.25 hour walk from Epsom town centre in then looping back around. The paths were decently wide, and though muddy in a few spots a few days after rain, the main paths were mostly fine. We especially loved the peaceful wooded walk. It seemed dog and bike-friendly too based on others.

Absolutely stunning, picturesque place. Great place for walking, running, jogging, cycling, etc. Goes for miles. Also attached to it is Ashtead Common, a place equally as beautiful. One of the most beautiful commons in Surrey and a must visit - and definitely worth visiting again.

Epsom common Nature reserve

Epsom Common (and Ashtead Common) is a special place. It is one of my favourite places to go running. With bracken path, bramble, woodland, grassland and scrub. It is just a lovely place to walk or run or cycle, quiet and green and peaceful.

The site is accessible by pedestrians from the following locations:

Wells Road near the crossroads Castle Road Wheelers Lane Churchside Bramble Walk Bracken Path Woodcock Corner (via Ashtead Common); and Via the link from Ashtead Common, near Ashtead Common Pond.

It is very well kept and I highly...

I'm surprised, and pleased, that so few people appear to know about this large, lovely space. Mixed terrain: it is almost possible to walk around it on solid, and cycleable, pathways, but there are wide areas of grass, brambles and gorse and of mixed trees laced with trodden paths - very muddy in winter. Two ponds - one managed by CALPAC for anglers. Most years, grassed areas are used for cattle grazing in the summer - beware electric fencing. I...
