This is a wonderful place for many, dog walkers, walkers, cyclists, photographers etc. We always take some hot coffee, as there are no refreshments. A definite take wellies and a spare pair of warm socks in the winter. Catch the sun as it gets pretty cold when the sun is not out. Epsom Common (and Ashtead Common) is a special place. It is one of my favourite places to go running. With bracken path, bramble, woodland, grassland and scrub. It is just a lovely place to walk or run or cycle, quiet and green and peaceful.

Mixed terrain: it is almost possible to walk around it on solid, and cycleable, pathways, but there are wide areas of grass, brambles and gorse and of mixed trees laced with trodden paths - very muddy in winter.
