Very beautiful place to be you have loads places to stay b&b, hotels, campsites. And lot of places for food like woods of witchurch shop and cafe. Whitchurch spice tandoori restaurant and take away. And the potting shed. Old court hotel. And there is the puzzle hedge and butterfly center. Lots to do fishing, canoeing, walking, and cycling. Watching the peregrine falcon's nest in may June time look at the views from Symonds yat. Loads of place to go Ross-on-Wye, Monmouth. Gloucester with its great docks or just get lost and have fun in the forest of dean. Just watch out for the hairy piggy's if you have dogs. And must keep your dog on there leads especially when there is sheep or any livestock in fields or even in the forest of Dean because of the wild boar and sheep do roam free in the forest. With wild and scenic views, interesting villages along its banks, cosy pubs, steeped in history from Tintern Abbey, wire making, coal and iron deposits all linked by the Wye Valley Railway of which a servicing station at Tintern. The only part that's left of the Old railway worth a visit in itself. A visitor and information center is based there at Tintern Old Station, good breckie and cuppa too. The Wye Valley also found fame as part of the picturesque movement which became very popular with people on their gran tours! I love that you have the best of a few worlds; rolling hills, open countryside, proper forests, and a fantastic view down to the mount of the River Severn.
