Note for Drone Pilots, there is a very fine window you can fly around the castle. Before 8 AM and after 6 PM (but check and see if I'm correct) Most of the time they don't want you to fly around the castle anyways. They've got a scope on the ridge regardless as I found out about it when a guy from the castle came up and was quite upset I was flying (I had just brought it back after a few fly around) Regardless, I always try to respect the rules and didn't know as there was no posting at the viewpoint (at the time...
Read moreIf you are visiting the Eilean Donan castle, then difinitely drive to this viewpoint which is around 700 yard drive by car. This place is charismatic to have a wonderful and quite view of Eilean donan castle. The drive is straight forward just a bit steepy as it is taking you to the hills. You can park anwhere in the left which does not blocks the way for other vehicles to pass. Nothing could be much better than this view. we spent their 10 minutes to just appreciate the beauty of the castle.
