I used to come here as a child myself, and although it's a bit tired looking, they are in the process of redeveloping this hogganfield loch, and i can not wait until they do complete it. Great takeaway van and ice cream van on site and crazy golf for the kids. Unfortunately, the old sand is no more, and the swing park is small whiketnanother is closed. But like i said, they are redeveloping, and I'm looking forward to returning. It is a nice park just for a walk, nothing too fancy but the kids enjoy it and there's loads of lovely chatty people with their dogs.

Lovely for a scenic walk, especially if you like swans and ducks, of which there are plenty. Facilities; Limited parking for how busy it gets and will often have to wait, there is a beverage hut in the car park though. No toilets to be found which isn't great. I wouldn't bother going specifically for the older children's park, zip wire has been removed as has swings. Not much there apart from a small climbing frame, small web climber and an old boat on springs. If you have toddlers though the seperate play park for them of sufficiently equipt.

An enjoyable circular walk around the loch. Can be accessed from various points. Also part of the wetlands walk. Main entrance offers car parking facilities, public toilets, toddlers play park and the swans and ducks. Unfortunately the bigger playpark is currently closed. Plenty of benches, picnic tables and small sandy beach. Opening a few months back there's the adventure golf and street food vendors. Didn't get the chance to visit this but will do on my return visit.

I recently visited Hogganfield Park and I must say, it was a delightful experience. The park offers a serene and peaceful environment, making it the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.

One of the highlights of Hogganfield Park is its stunning natural beauty. The park is surrounded by lush greenery, with well-maintained lawns and beautiful flower beds. The lake in the center adds to the charm, providing a picturesque view that is simply breathtaking.

The park also offers a range of activities for visitors to enjoy. From walking and jogging trails to cycling paths, there are plenty of options for outdoor enthusiasts. I particularly enjoyed taking a leisurely stroll around the lake, soaking in the tranquility and enjoying the fresh air.

Another aspect that impressed me about Hogganfield Park was its cleanliness and maintenance. The park is immaculately kept, with clean pathways and well-manicured gardens. It is evident that the staff takes great pride in maintaining this wonderful space for everyone to enjoy. Overall, my experience at Hogganfield Park was fantastic. It is a hidden gem in our city that offers a peaceful retreat amidst nature's beauty. Whether you're looking for a place to relax or engage in outdoor activities, I highly recommend visiting...

Love this place. Been coming here for over 50 years. This visit gets 5 stars because of the experience for my grand children not mine. I was accosted by a right jobsworth ( white shirt and id badge) who asked were we planing to feed the swams. What kind of bread? Did I want to harm or kill them? We had Brown & white bread with us. There is a new sign up for rules regarding white bread. NO, NEVER. Okay but the sign was not where you are feeding. It is on a gate with a no parking sign. Next problem I had stopped there to unload my passengers 2 rules broke in 10 minutes, another lecture. Come on please put signs where they are needed. Get enthusiastic staff like him on to working in the play parks which are looking tired and neglected and put signs where you are feeding the birds. Telling me a local pet shop sells grain suitable for feeding them. Hello no shops in sight of the loch was...

I have beening going to this park since childhood and recently took my young son for a walk round it and I must say not much has changed, just a few key features added like the jetty to see the ducks, swans and seagulls and the small play area for the children. It is a pity because the area around the park is residential and for it not to change that much in 30 odd years is a little disappointing. The grass areas are kept well kept where they need to be. Needs investment and for the main area of attraction to be moved away from the vicinity of the carpark and a visitors centre or a permanent cafe instead of the mobile vans that dwell in the carpark. The park is good for a walk just needs...
