Mini golf was over priced at Ā£24 for 2 adults and 2 children for 9 holes only. Getting to the course you need to walk around the whole area and then cut through the other courses. Courses are very bland. All short, with little to no obstacle. Bark covering half the course. For the price itās shocking. Also need to queue for your timeslot but doesnāt seem to matter as people just pile up in the queue and get taken when they reach the front.
Food court very expensive. Ā£5 for a small tub of āsalt n chilliā chips that were essentially chips with a seasoning flung on top. Hardly salt n chilli. They also had no chicken available so chips was really the only option. The pizzas look good, not sure how much they cost. Hotdog for Ā£8 again is a bit of a joke.
Driving range was cheap at only £12 for an hour which is really good.
Staff are absolutely clueless. Boy serving at main desk with his hood up like heās down the park with his mates. Very odd that nobody from management would address this. He also just mumbled and was hard to understand what he said. Didnāt give us the print out we needed for mini golf either.
Went to the driving range afterwards, didnāt tell us what bay. Wandered around to ask find a staff member. Again a young boy that didnāt have a clue, just said he cousins find our booking, despite giving him the booking slip. Said we would need to go back down and ask at reception. Found another staff member who scanned the QR code on the ticket and told us our bay, not sure why the first boy didnāt do this.
Bay was fine, apart from the computer said all our shots were off if we hit them straight, so to play the game, we had to stand at and angle and hit the balls over to the right hand side. Then a group of teens arrived 20 minutes into our 1 hour slot saying they were booked in this booth as well.
The idea of the place is great, but itās execution is poor. First thing needing addressed is the staff. Some proper training and customer service skills would be ideal when working...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been a few times since early 2024 and generally this is a great place to visit for a coffee and / or to practice. And to meet up with old friends. Even walk the dog round the loch. The recent upgrades and changes are very good too. Iām a bit old-school but even I am starting to appreciate in moderation the toptracer tech at the driving range , especially the consistency stats and graphics with different clubs. Ā£9 for 50 balls is not cheap in my mind (i suppose Iām comparing it to my āno frillsā local range in Livingston which is Ā£5 for 50 balls), but the overheads must be high, so itās worth it once in a while. I would give it a 5/5 but I was a little disappointed yesterday. Not re the golf, more to do with the padel. There are 3 padel courts which I think only opened last year. But they are already showing signs of wear and tear and neglect. It looks like the staff are not keeping a close eye on them. Yesterday morning there were lots of bats lying around, and rubbish. There were signs of some minor vandalism. Just looks like some staff are not taking pride in their jobs. Would probably only take a member of staff to go down there once every couple of hours to keep an eye out and tidy up. A bit disappointing especially considering how recently the courts were built. But overall, a great initiative...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe played 18 holes of crazy golf and had a wander around the facilities today. We were really looking forward to visiting as it had been hyped up so much on social media, we play a lot of golf and the price (Ā£18 for two adults) suggested it would be a high quality course. We were really disappointed⦠it was very busy and although we were given a start time it seemed no one was keeping to those times so there was a big back up at the first hole for each of the three courses. The quality of the courses was poor - covered in leaves, turf already pulling up and (maybe intentional) a few of the holes were just solid rubber flooring. The course is badly designed; the entrance isnāt close to any of the first holes so you have to walk over other holes to get to it and the end of one course isnāt near the start of the other so you have the same issue. It seems like the place was rushed to open before the end of the school holidays and it shows.
We decided not to use the driving range after having a look around. Weād rather use the range at East Kilbride (top tracer) or in Drumchapel (trackman).
We would like to return to try out the 9 hole course but wouldnāt rush back for...
