We absolutely loved staying here. What’s not to love? Beautiful scenery, 2 parks for kids, a beach with sand, not over crowded and food on premises? We stayed 2 nights and when we got there, I said to myself that we wouldn’t leave at all the next day. And we didn’t. The beds were comfy with nice clean linens and towels. There was even a room with a fridge, microwave, kettle etc so you can bring your own. (Looking back I would have done this to save some money from eating at the restaurant every meal). They even had hot cocoa/coffee/tea in room with shortbreads. The food at the restaurant is fine, a bit pricey in my opinion, but the staff are all super nice and the location is great. I would love to go back. FYI the rooms are at the top of a hill with stairs and the lake and the restaurant are at the bottom. I would’ve loved to rent a pedal boat, and use the sauna but I tried at 5 pm to do both and it was too...

I would totally recommend a visit to the Loch Inch Outdoor Center, what an incredible location and set up. The staff are very friendly and super helpful. The equipment is plentiful and of the highest quality. The service and food in the restaurant is first class and a reasonable price. I cannot wait to return. Lots of lovely old photos showing the changes and improvements over the years, whilst taking an interest in the photos, I was told a quick story of how the center started. That intrigued me, so I was lucky to get a copy of the founders memoirs, Clive Freshwater Making Waves. Which I have just finished, such an interesting read. He must have been very proud of what...

A beautiful area. Download the SOC "Where to Watch Birds" app to see a map, directions, and descriptions of what you can see from 4 different paths along the Loch Insh. It's a quiet and beautiful place. Kayaks etc can be rented from Loch Insh outdoor center (ice skating in the winter and a play area for kids too)
