Loch Morlich has so much of what nature has to offer in one amazing spot. On a recent trip to the Cairngorms National Park, my brother insisted on a visit to Loch Morlich beach. He was amazed at there being a beach so far inland and we were both blown away when we arrived.

There is a fairly large carpark on site as well as a toilet block which appeared to be regularly attended by staff. There is a short and easy path through the surrounding Glenmore Forest straight onto the beautiful sandy beach. The beach area and still loch waters are completely open with views of the mountains and treelines in the background. There are lots of beach and forest trails around the location, depending on your ability. On the beach there is a cafe and watersports centre that proved popular during our visit and there was good seating both in and outside the cafe.

Loch Morlich beach was being enjoyed by sunbathers (we were blessed with glorious early summer weather), paddleboarders and hikers and felt like the perfect place for anyone wanting to enjoy a unique little piece...

Loch Morlich Beach Is One Of The Most Beautiful Beaches That You Could Go To. It's A Lovely Beach With A Big Loch,Trees And Mountains Surrounding It. Also There Is A Cafe A Short Walk Away,Although I Didn't Use The Facility. You Can Also Rent Kayaks,Canoes,Stuff Like That. There Is Also A Beautiful Circular Route Going Across The Loch. The Best Time Is To Go Earlier In The Morning At 09:00 Or Earlier,Because It Can Get Quite Busy,Because Of The Tourists Coming In From All Over The World. The Nearest Bus Stop Is At Glenmore Visitor Centre,Being Served Hourly By Stagecoach Highlands Service 30 During The Day Between 09:00 And 18:00. It's Also A Great Place For Meditation Purposes If You Go Early Before 10:00. The 4/5G Phone Coverage Is Very Varied. So A 5 Star Rating Is Totally Well Deserved For This Beach. Clean,Well Maintained And A Good Place To Have A Chill Out And Also Fantastic For...

As beach's go, this one is a stunner! Nestled in the Cairngorm National Park, this is the highest Blue Flag beach in the UK. The Sand is quite corse, so make sure you bring a blanket or chairs. The water is clean and safe, but can be cold, if you want to spend much time in there you will need a wet suit (it is Scotland after all) The one issue is the parking. The car park is not that big, and at the time of my last visit, there was work to "improve" the road side, this is removing some of the parking. It can get very busy on a hot day, so I can forsee this being an issue in time. If you do get into the car park you will need change to park, it was £4 when we visited. But, the real star of the show is the view, OMG 😲

A must visit if you're in the area as it's so beautiful. You can hire watersports equipment to get out on the water, or just walk the beach and take in the view. The boathouse cafe does a great selection of sandwiches, panini's, cakes, coffee etc and there's a toilet block just a few meters back into the woods. There is a car park but it fills up quickly as it's often so busy but there's more car parks further round with a bit more of a walk to the beach through the forest. Parking is just a few pounds and can be paid in cash at the machines or via an app up to 3 days later as the phone signal can be patchy.
