Movement and joy as I recover from chronic back pain!
Suffered increasingly from back pain for years, lately debilitating, so had to stop climbing, wakeboarding, and running. Restless nights and agonising mornings. Some temporary relief from medication but effects diminishing as reluctant to keep increasing dosage. Steroid injection to no effect. Morale all-time low!
Introduced to the idea that chronic pain not necessarily correlated with tissue damage, instead a result of oversensitised nervous system. And can be improved with mindful movement.
Yoga classes with Anastasia have been perfect for implementing this in a structured way that is careful and gentle, but also presents the right level of challenge on any given day. Over the course of several weeks, am amazed, delighted, and hugely grateful to find that am able to expand the limits of my movement envelope in a safe way, using breath and focus to soothe my system and let it know it's ok to move. While also working on flexibility, balance, and strength. I'm moving better and sleeping better, and meds now only ad hoc. And this is only the start, there are so many cool moves to learn and build confidence and agility! Am very excited about continuing my Yoga journey...
Read moreI’ve been attending prenatal yoga classes with Anastasia since February 2025 and, I’ve felt very good with this practice. It has really helped me relieve back pain, improve my flexibility, reduce stress, and strengthen my pelvic floor.
Anastasia is a great teacher, she is very communicative and attentive. Her classes are always well-structured, yet small enough to allow for a more personalised approach. She always checks in with each of us, asking how we’re feeling and if we have any pain or discomfort, so she can adapt the session to our individual needs.
Anastasia also creates a lovely sense of community among all the pregnant women attending, which makes the experience even more supportive and special.
Another big plus is that she provides all the materials you need: yoga mats, blocks, pillows, and other equipment, so you just need to show up and enjoy your class.

Read moreI've been taking private yoga classes with Anastasia for quite a few months now. Having my prime goal in mind (flexibility) Anastasia targets the areas that are in need the most, gradually increasing the level of difficulty when my body is ready for a new challenge. Along the way my strength and stamina got to the next level too. In some time I noticed significant progress which is really exciting! I never thought I would be able to have my legs behind the head or do a Bridge pose! Anastasia is very professional - she calmly guides you through each pose, making sure I'm aligned properly, that my body reacts the way it should, explaining different breathing techniques to enhance the progress. Since my flexibility increased so did my mobility and I am feeling so much better on a daily basis. It's a fascinating journey to explore what your body is capable of, regardless of your age or abilities. There is still so much more to learn for me. Really grateful to Anastasia for her guidance and would highly recommend her...
