Terrible Customer Service at Subway
I had an extremely disappointing experience at this Subway location. As a tourist, my friend don’t speak fluent English, and when I tried to communicate with the staff, they refused to speak in any language other than English. I understand that English is widely spoken here, but the staff’s attitude was completely unacceptable.
One employee (rutvik)even told me that if I am in England, I should know English in order to buy anything. This level of ignorance and rudeness is shocking, especially in such a global chain where tourists from all over the world are common. Instead of helping, they made me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable.
As I am working in hospitality industry from last 16 years as opretion manager with 5 Star Hotel in London. I never seen this kind of policy. I always tell to my staff speak in those languages were guest or customer are happy to speak.
Subway should train their staff to be more considerate and accommodating to non-English speakers. I won’t be returning to this location and would advise tourists to avoid it if they don’t speak perfect English.

Read moreToday, I walked into what I thought was a sandwich shop. Instead, I found myself in a live-action health hazard. The server who ignored me with the commitment of a monk practicing selective blindness finally acknowledged my existence, but only after what felt like a full geological era.
Now, I don’t expect fine dining hygiene in a sandwich chain, but watching this man touch his face, his ears, and a keyboard that looked like it had been exhumed from a septic tank was a new low. The keys were caked in grime so thick, archaeologists could probably date it.
I very politely asked him to change his gloves, since they’d clearly been through a world tour of bacteria. His response? “Why should I?” followed by what I can only describe as muttered abuse in a language I didn’t understand - but tone and side-eye don’t really need translating.
Never in my life have I felt the urge to weaponise a sandwich until today. If I wanted to play immune system roulette, I’d lick a public toilet seat.
Avoid this Subway like it’s patient zero. I refuse to even use this petrol station anymore as if I see him picking his nose in a pair of 12 day old gloves I may end up sticking a foot long somewhere that's...
Read moreI’ve been visiting this Subway shop for a few months now, and I feel some of the negative reviews don’t fully reflect my experience. At times, customers ask staff to add extra items to deals like the Saver Sub, even when those items aren’t part of the official menu—which isn’t allowed as per Subway policies. The shop may occasionally close a bit earlier than the hours listed on Google, but overall, my visits have been good. The staff have always been friendly and never rude, unlike what some previous reviews suggest. One small suggestion: it would be great if all staff could wear caps consistently as part of hygiene and...
