Just before new years me and my partner did the enlightened trail, it seemed slightly pricey for what it was but I understand and appreciate the massive amount of work that went into making it as amazing at it was. And obviously to cover the electric bill! The night I attended was very quiet so not many people about, only half a dozen cars in the car park so plenty of parking, when we came last year the night we chose was a lot busier but there still seemed to be sufficient parking. The staff were all very friendly and always willing to take photos for us and overall very helpful. The lights are so mesmerising and picturesque it’s a really lovely experience. The walking also does me some good! Great for the family and also rather romantic for couples. Being able to leave a wish on the wish tree is a nice touch.
It was muddy, but that’s expected. Lots of unfair reviews on here about the mud but it’s a farm in the winter, get a grip!
Such an amazing atmosphere me and my partner have decided to make it a tradition to come and see the lights every year.
Aside from the Staunton light show, in terms of the farm itself as a whole I haven’t been a visitor for many years having used to have visited with my family as a youngster I’ve now grown up. From what I remember it’s been a great visit for the family especially with children and I will definitely be returning in the future with my own little family on a day out when my newborn son is old enough.
Overall very great place to go. Would...
Read moreI like Staunton Farm. It's fairly priced entry ticket and animal feed not expensive. They have a fair few animals to interact with, including various small birds and big Rea birds, lamas, alpacas, pigs, donkeys, horses, cows, sheep, rabbits, guinea pigs, goats, chickens, turkeys. Lambing season in full bloom and most of the animals are very keen to eat out of your hand. The pigs, horses and donkeys are off limit when it comes to feeding but you can still interact.
Visited just after the opened and seemed like most of the animals were very keen to interact and have food.
They have a cafe, farm shop and some plants for sale too.
Plenty of seating by the cafes. In several locations around the farm they have opportunity to wash and dry your hands after feeding and interacting with the animals, plenty of toilets.
Wheelchair friendly environment, flat even ground to walk on.
Plenty of parking spaces available and if you pay entry to visit the farm the parking is complimentary, just as at entry how to get the parking free. If you are just visiting the cafe and plant sale area you have to pay for your parking as far as I understood.
Overall had a great day with plenty of opportunities to interact with most of the animals. Recommend to anyone that likes animals and ideal for families which want their children to get some hands on interaction with the animals.
It's also a walk way I understand from Staunton Country Park from the farm so if you want to visit both places at the same time it's a...
