Absolutely appalled by my experience here. The play area is fine, lots to do! But I spent the best part of £200 on my babies 3rd birthday party, his first ever party thanks to lockdowns. This was talked about with the 'manager' in general chat. Now the party room was OK, nothing special, the food again was OK, not worth paying £14.50 PER CHILD for though... but that was fine, I wasn't worried because my son was happy. The staff however were EXTREMELY RUDE! No help whatsoever with regards to using the facilities in the room, threw the food and ice creams down, didn't speak a word to us, nor even smile! The juice... well that had FLOATING BITS IN IT! Tried to get some help, the girl 'hosting' our party couldn't even hold a conversation so I had to go down to reception and wait for another lady to help. The clock on the wall was an hour and a half wrong, so I assumed it was just the hour that was wrong, was clock watching the time so we knew when our hour was up... 20 minutes early the manager RUDELY walked in and told us to "pack up and leave"... now with 13 CHILDREN, 3 of which are BABIES, which everyone knows children and babies have lots of stuff... we tried to pack all our stuff together, including a cake, candles, children, babies, bags, presents, cards, car seats, all other stuff for children and babies... within literally 3 MINUTES, the manager walked back in and said "can you please hurry up and get out".... he started to hurry us out and saying "come on" while basically PUSHING us OUT!!!! We ended us with so many of us stuck in reception downstairs, no children had their shoes on, we couldn't find some of the children because we had no hands to keep hold of them, having to hold multiple shoes, and items... we were told we weren't allowed to even go in to the play area where the tables were to sort anything out... every single adult present was shocked, and appalled by the behaviour shown by the 'manager' my son the birthday boy, was so upset because he lost us, and couldn't find his new shoes... we lost multiple items, which we weren't allowed to return for... or go upstairs to try and locate... as if this wasn't bad enough... on paying for the party I explained how all of my guests were upset, the behaviour wasn't kind and we didn't expect to be rushed off, the clock was wrong which was their fault and not ours, and we could've at least had a warning of 10 minutes just out of courtesy... the manager laughed and said "that's no reason to knock any money off" and rudely spoke to myself, my mum and my shown aggressive, patronising behaviour. I will NEVER return to this place, I will NEVER go to the theme park (Flambards) where this aggressive, rude and bullying man works... when I asked to speak with someone higher because of the way he shouted at me infront of my children and all of my guests... I was told there is no one higher. By himself and his staff. Now that's a lie, we all know there's someone higher than a general manager, all I wanted was some contact details but I was lied to yet again, spoken down to, and disrespected greatly. I've never ever been spoken to or treated this way, ever! Especially not at a play area, a party, in which I spend £200!!!!!!!! Disgusting place, disgusting staff, and a manager that deserves nothing more than to never work around children again! Cannot explain my experience fully, but I left in tears, outraged and feeling belittled, I wouldn't wish that on anyone! I WILL AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS AND WILL NEVER PUT MONEY IN TO A BUSINESS THAT ALLOWS THEIR STAFF TO TREAT...
Read moreLocation, easy to find with loads of parking if not a little sad to see the old flambards closed .
Cost £17 for 1 adult 2 kids (with one under 4 ). Fair price. No session limit.
Staff. Seamed friendly enough all stayed in the foyer and food counter, didn't see any in the main hall. Which ment a lot of the tables were left with old food and cans on for long periods of time.
Cost of the food, £8.20p for a jacket spuds with tuna mayo and salad i feel is expensive and an all day brunch at £9.40 was crazy. Anything of the kids menu was £6.20. The most expensive thing is a 12inch pizza at £11.90 ( ouch )
The soft paly, it was very warm inside and it was big enough with a separate toddlers area. Plenty of seating but due to the tables being left dirty lots of people just didn't sit down or they cleared the tables themselves to a different table. The noise of the air compressor was very loud and would make some of the tables vibrate. The intercom system from the front desk into the main hall was very distorted and you couldn't tell what was being said so no-one listen to any instructions or information given over it.
Over all. It is what it is, just like a lot of other soft plays, nothing stands out about it, it just a general soft play for when the...
Read moreEdited: Decided that we might give this a go again now it’s the summer holidays… as it has now become part of Flambards, one adult and one child is over £35! You have to pay the full admission to the theme park even if all you want to do is go in the soft play. My daughter is autistic, she loves soft play, but could not tolerate the theme park. In this day and age, no child should be made to feel excluded from something they love, but unfortunately that is the decision Flambards have made.
Original: Good play area for child but seems to have gone downhill recently if you plan on going as a day out. The food is overpriced and slow service, only 2 people working in the kitchen on a busy Saturday with lots of kids parties. The food took almost 90 minutes, had poor availability and was of very low quality. One2Eleven is good for a visit, but bring your own food or go...
