Fantastic small living museum. Lots of rooms and exhibits to look at (and the model railway shed was open too) for a good few hours. Had a ride in an army jeep, a very interesting air raid bunker experience and saw the Mustangs playing. The cafe sells coffee and cake which we really enjoyed. Read moreI have been here twice, both very good experiences my favourite part of the museum is definitely the Jeep ride, and the cafe is very nice. Friendly volunteers as well, there’s always visitors dressed up in time period clothing which is very nice. The blitz experience is a wonderful way of telling children and adults on how people lived through their days during the blitz and it’s great that a blitz survivor tells his story. Nice to see the young volunteers getting involved too and all dressed in items of the day. Fabulous collections of 40s and 50s things, brings back lots of memories.
