The worst service and the worst experience ever I had , the servers doesn’t even know how to speak with the customers . When we ask questions about the menu , the server gave unhelpful answers , almost like we were bothering them . The attitude and lack of attention from the server really ruined the experience. A little courtesy and basic attentiveness would’ve made a big difference. Not sure if I’ll be returning. I usually don’t write negative reviews but this left me disappointed . The staff are very rude with customers and they even don’t know how to respond when customers ask about food and prices as well . I don’t know how the management took the staff to serve and work in the restaurant. Atleast the management should teach the staff how to respond to the customers . The poor service and the response of the staff is disgusting and the food is so cold as well . The worst thali I ever had in my life and food quality is also very very bad .

Lovely Indian restaurant with a very lovely and helpful service team. The service was exquisite and made us feel very welcome. The quality of the food was really good, lots of well spiced chutneys, salads and meats. The poppadoms and the sauces and salads were all fresh and tasty, especially the mint mango sauce and onion and cabbage salad. The bhajis were well spiced and crispy while not being soggy. The tandoori thali we had was grilled very well and did not disappoint. The chicken was juicy and flavourful, the lamb was nice and soft and the kebab was especially flavourful. The naan was steaming fresh and crispy, a delightful combination with the meats and sauces. The rice was also fragrant and boiled to perfection. The pricing was more than reasonable and we fed 3 people comfortably for 40 quid. Overall, I have to say this is one of the nicer Indian restaurants that I have visited.

Not bad but not as good as the reviews say. Whilst the food was ok it wasn't as good as what we are used to, the potatoes were dry and not much taste, the naan was well overdone and I couldn't taste any cheese and as for my Jalfrezi well that was so hot I couldn't eat it all and I like hot food. That was hotter than any vindaloo I've ever had and my work mate said the same. I think personally they made a mistake in the kitchen as that was nuclear! That aside as I said it wasn't' bad but not as nice as I've had around the country as you'll see from my other reviews. Also I know they were busy but an hour and a half for my main to come out and 45mins after my starters is way too long so never really enjoyed the experience either! Also the presentation of the food could do with some work.

Awful service, average food. Booked a table online, no knowledge of booking. Managed to get a seat, but took 1hr just for starters to arrive. Starters were wrong (only half the portions actually bought out), was told it would be 10 minutes for some additional ones, waited another 30 mins for cold incorrect order again so we ended up refusing them and skipping straight to main course. When we complain staff were rude, and continued to make snarky remarks through the rest of the service. Mains were served after 1hr45 minutes and were OK, but not matching the expectations of rave reviews or awards. Had to ask for basics like cutlery and some of the mains food was missing and incorrect which we also had to chase. Staff tried to charge us for incorrect starters, we're not apologetic and full of excuses (apparently they are short staffed, the online booking system over books, they are too busy, and they take too many takeaway orders). They even acknowledged themselves that they deal with a lot of complaints. Every other table around was complaining about missing food, incorrect bills or slow service. Even as we left the staff were rude. The atmosphere was chaotic, I appreciate they were busy but staff were constantly shouting at eachother, running back and forth confused and repeating questions/having to check elsewhere. I wouldn't waste time...

I have been a loyal customer with this restaurant for many years since they had opened. I was always happy with my experience, however tonight I faced the worst customer service you could imagine. Having picked up a takeaway for myself and the family I arrived home to find from my £60 order I was missing 2 x Chicken tikka masalas. Mistakes do happen so I contacted the raj garden and they informed me they would send them down. Great a good reaction and only a little inconvenience. I waited for 20 mins and no food had arrived. When I contacted the raj I was shocked to speak to a gentleman called suhil who treated me like a criminal. My food was not on the way and he was unwilling to discuss when it would be and repeatedly asked me to count the containers, talking over me, being rude and obviously no people skills. He was not concerned that all of the rest of the food had gone cold or with resolving the issue at all. The only interest he had was to count the containers. I have had to now go to the restaurant to discuss and potentially collect the food. I believe I could of asked for the whole order to have been replaced but felt that replacing the missing dishes would of been reasonable...

I had great memories of this place as I used to frequent here with my wife and family regularly. We hadn't been for a while so we went for a Friday night dinner with a couple of other people. The popadoms and sauces were OK. I was surprised to see the poppadoms being served in a cheap old looking plastic basket. The starters were horrid. The onion Bhajis were completely inedible. The mains were the worst. Starting with the Chicken Biryani. The Rice was dry and crumbly (like it had been reheated on a number of occasions). There was literally no flavour to the dish. The Chicken Jalfrezi and Butter Chicken was again utterly tasteless and the chicken was rubbery and chewy. The icing on the cake was the naan were also burnt. We paid the bill and left the restaurant hungry with the food barely touched. The only positive thing were the waiters who were friendly and attentive.

Seriously disappointed and none of us will ever be coming here again.

Sad thing to say about what was once a...
