Absolutely fascinating railway line which makes you feel like traveling back in time.

The stations and rolling stock (coaches, steam and diesel) looks amazing and kept in good shape. They still use old signals and the token block systems to keep the railway safe.

Wonderful people with a great passion for the old!!!

Be sure to visit the shed in Highley or one of the many delicious looking cafés, pubs or restaurants at the stations.

A wonderful trip through time along the river Severn which will never get boring. Very worthwhile a visit (even for a detour).

P.s. keep a look out for their many events...

Its a awesome place right in the woods. To see the steam train from the bridge is exceptional view. Train station old days look. It was nice day and there were so many people getting in and out. Children were very excited and whistling when steam engine whistles. There was one draw back is very weak phone connection. Can't make or receive video calls. There is small car park for about 7-8 cars. The town is not far from train station. Few minutes walk. Staff is very cooperative and jolly. I strongly recommend to visit there and have...

We visited the beautiful old station and stepped back in time. The place is kept clean and tidy and is run efficiently by its volunteer staff who are friendly and knowledgeable and will answer any questions you have. It is wonderful to watch the steam train enter the station, we were like excited kids as we heard the whistle blow in the distance. We didn't go on the train so can't comment on prices, train...

A nice single platform station. Not quite as picturesque as Arley Station but well worth a visit for the Engine House which is home to several steam locomotives that are currently not in use. It also has a good cafe serving hot food and snacks and has a balcony overlooking the railway track. The River Severn is a short walk away and I would recommend a walk along the river down to Arley (about 50 minutes walk).
