Today we visited and had the best time. The service entering the grounds was great, scanned the phone ticket and went on through. It was a beautiful drive down to the car park where we got a great view of the house. We had a guided tour booked at 11am for the house, so we busied ourself looking at the animals until we lost track of time. So we ran up to the house where we began a self guided tour. A tour guide quickly helped us find out guided tour group and we were welcomed in by the amazing tour guide. He was so so lovely and is amazing at his job, he gave us all the information and answered any questions we had. (So sorry couldn’t remember his name) the guided tour was really informative and took us up into private parts of the house that are still used by the family that live there. It roughly took an hour. Once we finished the guided tour we sat outside the cafe in the house on the way out and I had a brownie which tasted great and my friend had the soup which was also delicious. After that we looked around the rest of the animal enclosures and it’s all so interactive and perfect for children of all ages. We recieved good service in both shops we went in to and the prices are reasonable for a one off. We went into the pizza piazza place and didn’t recieve the best service from the girl at the till. She was a bit rude to my friend and didn’t give us the best service unfortunately. Facilities and toilets were clean and useable. Overall we had a great time. Will...

Could not go in the house as they had security there as they were filming when I booked longeat which is over a 2 hour drive away to say I was disappointed is an understatement ,if I had seen this when I booked I would not have gone the usual attractions in the safari park the facilities like the toilets were totally run down and filthy I will be honest where are the staff .food thank god we brought our own drinks they wanted more than two pound for a bottle of water most of the staff were kids must be cheaper to hire the ice cream van cornish was absolutely stunning and clean and well run the shops clean well run but full of tat some of the items were quality but mostly over priced tat the park as you walked around quite clean considering the amount of people using it every where you go they peddle feed this feed that for an extra one pound fifty the people with a few children with them thats a lot when you have three or more children with you ,you are looking at nearly two hundred pound to go in and then every thing else on top this place really does take the absolute Mickey out of every one. all in all way to expensive way to tatty and not worth the money you would have already paid. all in all a long way a lot of money spent and it wasn't just the animals taken...

For a family of 6 adults, a toddler and a baby this is quite an expensive day out! That being said, the bat cave, boat tour and safari were the highlights and made it feel value for money. As we visited mid-week in October we found that some of the cafe/food areas weren't open along with one of the rides. I would recommend starting with the boat tour as the queue for this builds up very quickly.

There are some parts which fall a bit flat...for example 'monkey temple' has one monkey exhibit with 1 or two monkeys in it. The non-barista coffee is vile! The train was okay, but not really worth a long wait - if anyone has been up Trago Mills Newton Abbot, their train is better! The train was actually stopped at one point and the couple ahead of us berated (quite loudly) for allowing their child to 'hang out' of the train. From behind, I didn't see any hanging out by the child, and the staff member did seem to enjoy the telling off, so I felt sorry for the couple.

The safari was great highlight and it is reassuring to see keepers watching the animals closely as well as all the security between the paddocks. It felt a little like something out of...

The house only opened its doors to a free visit with a Longleat ticket in April 2024 so now, with your park ticket, you can view certain areas on the Ground Floor. You can still purchase private tour tickets to see more of the property. The Ground Floor covers a couple of dining rooms, some ornate drawing rooms, a library and a reception area that supposedly once had an elephant brought in! You can also climb the first set of steps on the Grand Staircase. The volunteers were full of fantastic knowledge about the property and its history and were eager to impart it to us. This property is still lived in by the Marquess of Bath and his wife and family, who also run the Longleat estate. They are also descendents of the original architect/builder of this immense and incredible building. They even had a small treasure hunt to encourage you get ones in. Definitely worth a visit if you're visiting Longleat and definitely worth buying a ticket for a private tour if you're into history, stately homes or British aristocracy.

We live in Wales, as a special treat I'd pre booked tickets for longleat, the santa train and the luminate experience for my lil man (age 3yrs and 9mths). We arrived just in time for the santa train which he was so excited about. He loved the little train journey to Santa's north pole. Visiting the elves and santa. We then drove around the safari park which was thrilling to see all the animals up close and personal, our son loved it, especially the monkeys climbing up on all the cars. After so much it was time to have a woodfired pizza (which was delicious 😋) before we explored some more of the animals' birds and reptiles. As the evening drew in we started the light trail early as we'd all been up since 5.30am to get there in time. It was a truly magical experience for all of us, im ever so pleased I booked this experience. I used klarna pay in 3 which eased the initial financial outlay and made it easier to afford for me personally. All in all definitely worth the time and price for us.
