Really surprised that there was so much to see here. You never can tell from this more off beat National Trust (sometimes you just get a room with not much in it sometimes you get something like this ~ quite often on the app/guidebook there is a single line of detail). There is a gate house with artifacts in it as well as information boards. There was also a guide at the enterance to help you. There was also Lady Chapel⛪. This too had a very helpful guide and great boards with information. There were also toilets - very unusual for this type of property. Read moreVisited for to 2019 Remembrance parade. Can be dated back to 900AD, the gate house that can be seen is dated around 1475. Not too much to see and the actual gates in a bad state of repair. Cromwell was a significant person in the gate houses current guise and its previous dismantling and sale. Some stone was sold to Trinity College, Cambridge.
