Halewood Park Triangle — Attraction in Knowsley

First visit..absolute pain to find as sat nav takes you to a housing estate..after asking directions finally got to the visitors centre. Limited parking so on busy days you may struggle if not there early(we arrived around 10am and plenty of space available) We went right at the visitors centre and followed that trail towards woolton...lovely walk with plenty of little side areas for kids to explore (scooter/bike trail) and gym equipment along the way.. However, it's a decent walk around, and luckily I met my sis in law there who told me that the pond and woodland park is to the left of the visitors centre..so we walked all the way back and found the park and pond a stone's throw away from the visitors centre! Doh! Pond area is lovely, full of wildlife and lilies, benches to sit down too but is up a bit of a hill for those less mobile.. the woodland park is great, little bridges and climbing equipment, train horn for the kids to stand on and make music and seating areas.. all in all a decent little day out..you can easily loose and...

Idąc dość ruchliwą ulicą Higher Road,na wysokości uliczki Blackburne Drive odnajdziemy zieloną,niską bramkę.Zagłębiając się w alejkę ciągnącą się za bramką,nagle,pomimo przejścia kilkudziesięciu metrów,gwar i zgiełk ulicy jak za dotknięciem czarodziejskiej różdzki będzie tylko wspomnieniem...Weszliśmy na teren "Halewood 'Triangle' Country Park".Wokół gęste lasy dębowe,brzozowe dają schronienie niezliczonym ilością ptactwa,słychać nierzadko popukiwania dzięcioła a w trawach i krzakach jeżyn otulających alejkę którą idziemy,spotkamy również sympatyczne jeże.Park znajduje się na terenie dawnego węzła Cheshire Lines Railway.To z tego miejsca,w latach świetności,ruszały tabory na północ, do Southport, na wschód i na zachód do Manchesteru i niedalekiego Liverepool.W parku,możemy przysiąść na moment na ławeczkach przy jednym z paru stawów,by posłuchac rechotu żab i podziwiać taniec ważek nad samym lustrem wody lub odnależć ukryty wśród drzew nieduży plac zabaw w całośći zbudowany z drewnianych bali i sznura.Alejka ciągnie się w kierunku północnym po dawnym nasypie kolejowym TransPennine i jak informują tabliczki można dojść nimi aż do Southport ale to już,z racji odległośći temat na...

Beautiful park which is easy to access from both Hunts Cross and Halewood Railway Stations. It's well maintained, there are signs to guide you to different parks of the park and information posters dotted around.

It connects to the Trans Pennine trail/ Liverpool Loop Line so you can easily extend your walk/cycle along the old railway line...
