We had the tarn almost to ourselves on a warmish September day, water temp was around 16-17°c, lovely for a leisurely swim to the other side and back. Plenty of little 'beach' entry points around the edge, with fallen trees and boulders to sit on and hang your wet kit afterwards. There are sheep roaming all around close by which we both enjoyed.
