Levens Deer Park — Attraction in Levens

Lovely walk through the deer park, where there are lots of black fallow deer and bagot's goats. Parked at the car park at Levens Hall which surprisingly is free. The deer park is across the road, where there are two gates, one on each side of the river, you can go through either gate take a circular route through the park. At the end of the park there's a bit of road walking to get to the entrance for the return journey on the other side of the river. There are toilets at Levens Hall too, which was handy. Beautiful place for a walk. There's two public footpaths going through the park at either side of the river, with maps on notice boards as you enter. Lots of really, really old looking trees and of course lots of deer! There's a decent cafe at Levens Hall and a large car park. Although I parked a few miles down the old lancaster canal and hiked up the canal path. It was fairly quiet until I got nearer Levens hall where it was...
