This farm is a fantastic day out, particularly if you're on a budget. The price is probably the cheapest you'll see for farm attractions, and you get an awful lot for your money! I hold such fond memories of the farm from when I was a child, have taken my children since they were little, they're now teenagers and still love to go! The farm offers feed buckets for £2 each, which have a selection of fresh veg for the animals. Signage all around the farm tells you who not to feed (usually the very round and cheeky ones, haha) and there are staff all around that you can ask if you're unsure. The animals are fantastically funny, cheeky goats and sheep will do anything to try to get in your food buckets, and there is a constant background noise of children laughing as they enjoy feeding the cheeky animals. There is a pram park shelter so you can leave the pram and change bags, leaving your arms free to pick up the kids or whatnot. The small animal area allows you to get up close with chickens, guinea pigs and rabbits, to say hello, have them on your knee and pet them. The cafe is reasonably priced, and there is a good range of foods. ( I've added pictures of the current menu as I was unable to find any when I was checking prior to taking a...
Read moreTook our 3 year old to go and visit Santas grotto on Monday the 6th of December on arrival we gave our details to the lady in the farm cafe and we’re told they could not find my husband’s details or name who booked the visit for us , we were asked to provide prof of our booking instead of them just asking what our surname was , which was written next to the booking fee my hubby had to try and find a connection to his internet banking which was a nightmare and the booking had been placed wrong , plus our three year is autistic and gets fed up and restless after a certain amount of time ( at this point we had been left waiting for a good 30 minutes ) She was perfectly fine going into the farm but the fact we had to mess around and provide evidence that we had paid for our visit instead of just asking what our name was and as if we were going to try and see Santa ( without paying ) made the whole experience for our little girl a nightmare and a complete waste of time and money by the time she got into the grotto she was upset and didn’t get any benefit out of the visit what so ever ! Better communication skills and handling of bookings needs to...
Read moreHas been a fantastic place to introduce my 1 and 3 year old to animals. Even had my eldest birthday there which I highly recommend as you get the run of the place; piglet, bird of pray handling not to mention the lambs and my own favourites the baby dwarf goats which wonder around the place as brazen as you like trying to pinch your fruit boxes. My kids love hugging them. The place is kept clean and is pretty with all the potted flowers. Did I mention the meerkats! A nice addon you may not expect from a farm. Only reason it's not 5 stars is that I'm not sure how much time the animals especially birds of prey get outside their enclosures. I suppose the wages and upkeep needs to come...
