Came for the “makers market” held oh the last Sunday of each month. (No need to buy a ticket! Free entry)

Grounds of the hall are lovely, and the market was stocked full of vendors. We’d particularly recommend “Saffa Soul” - South African street food! 🥘 , and “Pamper By Plants” selling innovative bath teas for eczema and shower steam bags for sinus relief and destressing!

There were lots of repeat vendors, however (multiple cookie stalls etc) and some … interesting ones … (naff trinkets and boxes etc) but on the whole, a pleasant way to spend an hour.

The farm on the estate is well worth a walk around too🐷 and the miniature train ride was a five minutes well spent 🚂

Be aware parking is a NIGHTMARE on the market day - everyone shoving their cars where they can on banks and on the road because the carpark is far too small for the event size. We got there 20 mins before the event started to get a space which...

Went for the makers market held on the last Sunday for each month. Cute and quaint little market with a few repetitions of the same thing (deserts and trinkets) was a great little find for something to entertain you for a couple of hours.

We also went into the farm which is a great addition and saw all of the animals and some great facts about each of them

Lastly we went onto the miniature train ride, I am pretty sure this is aimed at children 5 and under but as two 24 year olds we loved it!! Who knew there were wild crocodile and tigers in Liverpool. My only complaint is that I wish it...

A great place to walk dogs and they have events on for children and the community. The house itself could really do with some TLC on the outside of it. It says it's a wedding venue. Not been inside but the pictures outside with the house wouldn't be great. The grounds however are lovely and nice walks. Toilets are kept clean. The cafe is ok but not dog friendly which is such a shame as they are not catering to the majority of people who go as I would say over half have dogs. Other places have cafes that allow dogs so it can be done. The area around the cafe...

Super place for a visit or family day out. Well laid out tour of the hall with many period pieces and costumes making it all seem real. Lovely walled garden, definitely worth a visit (and only £1/adult), we spent over an hour just here, there is lots to see including William Roscoe's collection of tropical plants in the greenhouses. Beekeeping too. If you dont want to go in the hall or walled garden there is huge parklands, walks, 2 children's play area, children's farm animals and two cafes. What a great day out.

20/09/25 - We were delighted that the Heritage Open Day open its door at Croxeth Hall. The building has lots of history, the 6th Earl of Sefton and Countess Josephine bequeathed this beautiful house to Liverpool City Council in 1984. It is worth a visit although it is not normally open to the public and on very limited occasions, you can get a guided tour around the building.
