Lovely place to go with the family or for a scenic walk. We stayed quite close on a camping site not far away and stumbled across this place and what a lovely surprise. Shops on site that sell most things, lovely food as well. The area was clean and well maintained, with toilets on site as well. Staff were friendly enough and helped when we asked questions. We unfortunately couldn't go out on the water as we were told it was full of algae. Harmful algae and cyanobacteria (sometimes called blue-green algae) can produce toxins (poisons) that can make people and animals sick and affect the environment. Not the end of the world but rather be safe than sorry. Local ducks and swans roaming free which was nice too see, they do get close as you can see in some of my pictures so just watch out for that. Read moreIt was our first time camping so we were a bit unsure what to expect. We couldn't have choosen a better first place. Amazing beautiful views and location. Staff are so helpful and poliet. Sarah in reception was a star from when she helped me book online to recommdinng horse ridding placed. The grounds man were so helpful and the cleaner made sure the showers and toilets were spotless. I felt it really safe enough to let my children go off to the park on there own. I don't normally go back to a place twice but will defiently be back here again. The cafe offers the best cakes and food and the bar was pretty good prices to. Cant wait to return back...
