Walked through the door and it's like walking back in time to the 80s very dated needs bringing up to date. Staff young couldn't work the till properly tried to charge me over 3 times as much. As for the breakfast that must have been the worst brekkie I have ever had There is a board outside saying hot food what I had was barely warm and tasteless. As for what must had been the boss who said that I shouldn't shout at her staff when the tried to over charge me by 3 times as much that I should have said that's a little bit expensive. I don't call ÂŁ25:70 a little expensive for a ÂŁ7 brekkie. She very nearly ended up wearing that breakie but then it must have been a Welsh thing to try and rip off an Englishman and there wasn't any brown or red sauce only BBQ sauce what on a breakfast. This place needs to close be fully stripped out and fully refurbished with up to date table chairs flooring and decor. Then to have staff fully trained on how to treat customers properly maybe not to employ kids who are payed at the minimum wage for...

Don’t come here if you have a Staffordshire Bullterrier! Sadly we where really disappointed with our trip to the cafe today after reading great reviews online. We have a Staffordshire Bullterrier who happens to be loveliest and kindest dog on the planet. We where greeted with our food by the waitress telling us how scared and wary she was to come outside with our food because she saw the news last night and a dog “just like ours” attacked 3 people. Firstly, the breed involved in the incident was not a Staffordshire Bullterrier. Secondly- why tarnish an entire breed just because of 1 incident online? It was completely uncalled for and unnecessary. Our dog Reggie greeted her with a big smile and a wagging tail. It made us feel extremely unwelcome. Won’t be coming here again. She came out on numerous occasions and clearly wasn’t “afraid” but more wanted to prove a point and make us feel like we shouldn’t be here. She quite literally turned her nose up at us. The...

I have a holiday home in the area and have family close by and have used the cafe on a few occasions and visited this weekend , food has been OK and location quite nice.....however customer service is not great..the owner/manager seems to struggle with the basics of front of house service or etiquette. She just needs to be a bit more pleasant and smile from time to time, it goes a long way and stop the derogatory remarks and negativity aimed at your customers, its not nice to over hear...... We all have off days, but at the very least you put a face on to make the customers want to return.

I don't mean to preach and/or be offensive in my review, my opinion is from an informed perspective and experience of owning/running a substantial business in a...

Good location with lots of free parking, a cafe, shop and what looked like some caravan spots. The staff were very friendly and everything was very clean. We had a baked potato with tuna mayo and a sandwich with the same filling. It was quite horrible tbh. Tasted like cheap value tuna from a tin with sweetcorn. No mayonnaise or oil or flavourings 🤢 I got some of the (cheap) mayo sachets from inside and that made it slightly more palatable but I couldn't eat it. There are lots of other good reviews so perhaps we got a bad meal but I'd definitely recommend just going for drinks and desserts.

One of the very nice places to have lunch in South Wales. Just beside the lake where one can go boating too. Food is really nice with good & sufficient quantity - value for money. Even the presentation is really nice. I hope they maintain the food quality, value for money pricing, and presentation. The toilets inside the restaurant were not clean - probably that's the only reason I'm giving it a 4 ⭐, otherwise it's a really nice place to have food.

A lovely spot at Llangors Lake. The Lake Cafe is a true delight. Sarah, the owner, is warm and welcoming, and Morgan and Gemina always greet you with a smile and a cheerful “How are you today?” - every morning or afternoon. The food is excellent. I can attest to the sandwiches, fries with gravy, carrot cake - everything has been delicious. Morgan makes a great Flat White. Friendly service, great food at a beautiful location - well worth a visit.
