Only went as knew Lloyd George from history of ww1 and was in the area, saw the signpost and though might as well have a look. On entry to museum saw the entrance fee, thought its a bit much and asked the man on the desk what was in there to warrant such a price. I was given a brief overview and thought it didnt sound too bad so would give it go, paid for myself and my 19 year old daughter. So glad I did, there was so much information, an interesting film of the great mans life and exhibits to fascinate even the uninterested. Thought I might be pushed to hang the visit out to 30 mins, spent over 2 hours in the place. Both my daughter and myself fully recommend the place for a visit. Thank you to all the staff for making the place a success...

We dropped by the Lloyd George museum with no particular expectations or even prior knowledge. In some respects he's just some guy from a different era who made it into the history books.

So what the museum does very well is to show where he came from (very humble roots) and what he achieved (an awful lot). He clearly wasn't perfect (being a philanderer) but his actions made a difference for a lot of people.

The museum itself isn't huge but is packed with many relevant objects. You can also visit his childhood home with its outdoor privy. The staff are very helpful and will open it up for you. So there's plenty to take in here if you have any interest in politics or...

Just visited the David Lloyd George Museum. We have passed it many times but today called in. My wife and I received a warm welcome and we were immediately impressed with the layout of the museum. The life and achievements of Lloyd George are well displayed in an interesting and informative manner. His political achievements are extremely relevant in relation to the problems that we face today and a poignant reminder of the fierce battles that he fought in establishing the welfare state and much of what we take for granted today. Well done to all involved with this excellent museum. - Thoroughly...

Started researching David Lloyd George last year and was fascinated to find how influential he was in defining the course of Britain in the 20th century. Visiting the museum and his childhood home today gave me further insight into this great man and politician. The museum is an absolute gem with plenty of original artifacts. In particular, his personal notes on the treaty of Versailles! Staff are extremely helpful and visiting his grave was a privilege. Well worth a visit into the life of Britain's greatest prime minister!
