Top of our village, and an area of outstanding natural beauty. On any good day, you look west, and see the eastern areas of Anglesey, just beyond the Ormes in Llandudno. To the east, North Wales coast stretching to the Mersey. The Cumbria mountains, Blackpool, Isle of Man to the north, turn your back, and beyond the local valleys, the Clwydian range, and Snowdonia. And all on our doorstep. Oh yes, a lovely place for walking, dog walking, and seeing a wide range of local wildlife, including the occasional fly past of one of the kites. To the south of here, there are almost always climbers 'stuck' to the walls of castle quarry, very busy little bit of rock.

What a beautiful place for a walk. It has everything for me. Views of the Sea. Views of the Countryside. Cliffs, looking down on some desirable dwellings. The climb up to the top of the mountain is predominantly achieved with the car. It's not a long walk then to reach the summit. At the top you really feel the wind. There are several very well placed benches for a rest or a picnic. Highly recommended. 5 Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 in my book.

Beautiful, scenic place. Perfect for dog walkers, hikers and amateur entomologists like myself. Far reaching views of the sea in one direction and rural views the other. Hired a cottage there which means this is literally my back garden for the week!

This is a small Site of Special Scientific Interest on a limestone ridge just above the village of Llysfaen. There is a 'trig point' at 208 metres and a Telegraph House dating back to the series of telegraph signal stations along the North Wales coast established in the 1840s. There are views northwards to the coast and south towards the Clwyd Range and Snowdonia.

The limestone grassland flora includes Hoary Rockrose, Birds-foot Trefoil and Pyramidal Orchids. Butterflies are numerous during the summer and include the Silver-studded Blue.

On a reasonable day it is an excellent place to wander around and relax in very peaceful...
