A most brilliant day! It was packed with children, parents and little ones and the cafe is booming selling all the usual stuff. The hot drinks; the cocoa; the ice creams. Other people walking around for a bit of exercise. Excellent, new equipment so if you are into your gym the brand new equipment is there! All government lines and facilities are still in place ~ please keep yourself safe. Sanitizers, wet wipes and do not forget the practical soap and water where possible. Morning session is best. For now is the time where people will be affected more if we forget th serious pandemic is still upon us. There's a cafe with toilets, there's a tennis court, there's playground, there are benches, there's.. uh did I mention toilets? There's an outdoor gym, trashcans, a community centre organising events and renting out spaces (also with toilets). Read moreChestnuts Park might be small but it is used for many activities -- by families with children, dog walkers, sports people, meditation prone individuals, teenagers... a friendly place with a space for everyone. I always smile when I see how diverse the park is. It reflects the neighbourhood but I think people come from other neighbourhoods, too.
