Hala Restaurant, known for its authentic Middle Eastern cuisine, offers a delightful dining experience that immerses guests in rich flavors and warm hospitality. Located in a bustling area, the restaurant features a cozy yet vibrant atmosphere, adorned with traditional decor that reflects its cultural roots. The menu is extensive, showcasing a variety of dishes from appetizers to main courses. Popular starters include the mezze platter, which offers a delightful assortment of hummus, baba ganoush, and tabbouleh, perfect for sharing. The freshness of the ingredients is evident, and each dip is packed with flavor. For main courses, the grilled meats are a highlight. The mixed grill platter, featuring tender kebabs and juicy shawarma, is especially recommended. Each piece is marinated to perfection, resulting in a smoky and savory taste that pairs wonderfully with fragrant rice or warm pita. Vegetarian options, such as the stuffed grape leaves and falafel, are equally satisfying, ensuring that there’s something for everyone. Desserts at Hala are not to be missed. The baklava is a standout, with layers of flaky pastry and sweet honey syrup that provide a perfect ending to the meal. Service is attentive and friendly, with staff eager to provide recommendations and ensure a pleasant dining experience. The restaurant’s reasonable prices further enhance its appeal, making it an accessible choice for both casual diners and special occasions. Overall, Hala Restaurant is a gem for those seeking genuine Middle Eastern flavors in a welcoming environment. Whether you're a fan of traditional dishes or new to the cuisine, Hala offers a memorable culinary journey that keeps guests coming back for more.

Hala is a Turkish restaurant in the heart of Harringay. Yes! That's Harringay with a double "R" and ends with "EY!" The restaurant is very spacious, nicely decorated, has a bar and they played nice background music. My friends and I travelled from SW London to try their sumptuous array of delectable Turkish cuisine. The grill station is manned by skilled chefs who have perfected the art of well prepared meat. You may have to book to get a table as it's quite popular with the locals. The menu is crammed with mouth watering starters, mains and yummy cakes. The bottled sauces are surprisingly cold and taken out from the fridge. I find this a plus to keep them fresh as the weather recently in London was too warm. My favourite is the cold aubergine cooked with red peppers in tomato based sauce. It was a tasty part of the meze. Then of course the lamb chops were the star of the show. They have manly portions which is great as I do love a bit of lamb. The staff are smartly dressed and very attentive. The toilets are clean and have areas for private parties. We ended a beautiful night taking pictures in the room with backdrop setting for those Instagrammable pictures. Highly recommended place.

Took the family here for my sisters birthday. They seated us in a private area of the restaurant which was really nice and spacious for the kids to be free and for everyone to take pics by a flower wall away from the other busy parts of the restaurant. The food was lovely and well presented, we ordered a few platters with sides and lahmachuns for each of our 3 tables. The service was fine but frustratingly they enforce a service charge if you have a group of more than 10 people which is cheeky because you’re not told this beforehand. If you’re bringing them so much business from a large group in one go, why should you be forced to pay a service charge? They would have to had to serve the same number of people as separate groups if your big group didn’t come so it’s actually easier for them to serve you and they should actually give you a discount! So I reduced the service score because of this. I wanted to try Hala after seeing their online scores being quite strong over the years. I found their platters are nice but the platter options, prices and quality were a little better at Kervan Sofrasi in Wood Green in my opinion.

very slow service. average quality meat (better in a local takeaway kebab shop). i asked if my meal comes with anything, and the waitress said no, because it has bread in the dish. there was nothing like that in my dish (was supposed to be chicken and aubergine, but it was just chicken and yogurt, nothing else in it). instead of lamb and chicken shish, they gave us the incorrect order and charged us for it . the chili sauce is really great so at least that added flavour to the dishes. but the prices are ridiculous! i just don't understand all of these reviews, they must be bribing the customers with free things! some reviews say they gave customers free desserts for good reviews? we didn't get anything like that and were overcharged as well! when we were leaving the waitress said we can leave her a tip by stating her name in a google review? i don't understand that, she didn't acknowledge us for 10-15 minutes after we sat down until we had to get her attention. all of the other staff were really friendly and even held the door open for us! sorry, but overall i would not recommend this place.

The food here was amazing! I went there with a group of friends to break our fasts. It was already busy, and I thought we would have to wait a long time to get our food. We ordered our food and starters were placed on the table straight away (standard in traditional Turkish restaurants) and the food came 5 minutes after fast breaking time. 5* all the way for that! What I didn’t like was the attitude of the waitress that served us. Her attitude was very much like she didn’t want to be at work. It felt like we had to argue with her to place an order. I asked her for her name on which she responded with “Angelica, aka Angel”. I don’t know if that’s her real name (after she gave a very bad service). Apart from her, everything was great! Edited: They have recently refurbished their restaurant. The place looked cosy before, but now is a lot more cozy and spacious than before. They got rid of a lot of chairs and replaced it with long sofas along the walls. The space has now been utilised.

This place is special, whenever i attend they treat me like a king. The staff and chefs are all amazing, friendly, polite and caring. They always look after me with a table of choice, literally treating me like a VIP. I mostly have the lentil soup when i'm here, its the best thing on the menu, in my opinion, it s well priced, it comes with bread and salad, Even the brad has herbs and they grace it with the fats from the skewers of meats, its like the butter of 'Gods' the salad is well dressed with pomegranate molasses and sumac accompanying various pickles, prepared with love, the soup itself is herby and flavoursome a real journey, a flavour sensation, i i have never had a bad dish here, and i have dined here a lot, and those with whom i visit, i often introduce, they always return because they see the magic. Best Turkish Lentil soup i have encountered and consumed in london See you soon. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
