Really fresh place , super for dogs walls , massive field opposite the house/ gym / pool with open views to garden , every morning we was visited with a lovely wild animal/ goose that’s bright and beautiful , all the areas in the house have full air control and out side barbecue rooms are amazing/ outdoor garden is a must walk and relaxing area, Booking is great and well worth the cost , high street is 5 min walk , and good place to eat out , Can’t thank the staff enough for helping us with our demands/ had few issues with the pool , but called the manager of our booking and it was resolved in good time and did not have any problems with the service ,, over all my family had the best time as the kids can go and play safe in different areas/ The picture we have as memories and the memories made are amazing

Thanks u for all the extra bits in the bedroom and kitchen Super amount of 🚽 product/ towels and underfloor heating / all I can say is It’s safe with internet connection connection to all the house and control of everything was easy and the park opposite the house is full of historic memories all people we passively walked paths with had the best attitude towards us and respect

If ur looking for a good place for a close to London connection travel and family friendly places with good beds showers are like standing in a tropical rain

Wild parrot 🦜 fly about and the game room +2 kingsize size beds are perfect for the young ones to have there area / glass stairs are amazing

And can sleep 12 / 20 people if needed Was provided with beds and other supplies needed for or stay

Also the hospital from the staff and walk round and booking expenses was provided at a high level and all required staff were provided us with help

Air conditioning unit are really good and if required staff delivered single unit to keep us comfortable

Baby beds also provided

Some works are under going but is just walls that need a little painting as normal in any house Just so happens I booked the house when works where between repairs So some areas were perfect and some u notice the need for a repaint But the building is old and only saying this coz the difference between the original to new makes it stand out

10 out of 10 Thanks again for the great experience on both bookings

Discount was given for slight delay on final available items that we asked for but that was due to the traffic

So over all get out in the wild of this area and town eating out Walls with dogs And wild life was extremely cool

Look at google maps are the area and see before u book Full secure gates only open with codes or key fobs 3 gates before u can enter

A beautiful and well maintained park that caters for all activities from those wanting peace and tranquility, enjoy bird watching at the nature reserve, jogging, hiking and dog walking this place is ideal for everyone. There is also a bridleway for those who enjoy horse riding.

The footpaths are well maintained and there are designated areas for meadow, woodland and riverside habitats. The park covers the area from Sidcup to Footscray all the way to Bexley. Public footpath routes/walks can be followed from these neighbouring towns through the park so an excellent choice for walking clubs.

Over the last 20 years, the park has seen several significant changes. The once derelict stable buildings and garden, where local equestrian events were held when I was a child, have been redeveloped into a luxury mansion with swimming pool and walled garden. And the site of the former Foots Cray Place Manor House has been cleared, the driveway approach, front lawned area and gatehouse have been enhanced. This is of real interest to me as it suggests at the history of the former estate. Sadly the manor house was destroyed by fire and there are few photos in archives.

Whatever our passion for enjoying the outdoors, this is one place that holds interest...

Footscray offers a fabulous outdoor space, for walking, enjoying the river and nature reserve or just to sit and enjoy a picnic. Regularly visit to enjoy a stroll down the river and at the moment (May) through the woods to savour the Bluebells. There have been works along the river below Five Arches to slow the flow of the river to allow sedimentation and to restore some of the habitat for smaller mammals and bank dwellers. The downside is that the river bursts the bank more often flooding the paths adjacent to it. Be aware if walking there after rains. There is a bad water leak by Rectory Road Car Park (September 24). It's been losing litres a minute for three months now, and the field is now a quagmire. Numerous reports to Thames Water have invoked no actions to remedy.

June 25 - water leak still a...

Went here with a friend on a very sunny Saturday and spent the day by the river paddling and sitting on the river bank. The water is incredibly clean and clear and it is a popular spot for paddling in the summer it seems. The five arches bridge is very picturesque and the sound of the rushing water on the waterfall side is lovely. One side of the bridge has deep water so for safety don't let children go in the water this side, but the stream on the other side is much shallower so safer for paddling especially the further down you go. There are some beautiful views and willow trees too which you can go under, which are lovely. There is also a play park for younger children should they need extra entertainment. Lovely place would recommend visiting.

Quick edit: Bluebells in full bloom in the woodlands now (14th May 2021). Follow the main concrete path from 5 Arches Bridge. If you want to escape from the rush and chaos, go to the Meadows. It's a beautiful, natural area with a river running it's full length, lake, swans, woodland with bluebells, open meadows and children's play area. Car parking depends on where you want to start your walk - I would look at a map of Foots' Cray Meadows and go from there. No parking charges at present and you can park on the roads that sit beside parts of the park. Enjoy your time there!
