Royal Radhuny — Restaurant in London

A group of 30 of us met for a meal. 30 was very cosy and any more would be a squash… they said they could seat more. There were no complaints about the quality of the food, nor the support from the staff in assisting with choices, and many attendees said they would revisit or order take-away. But to a number of our group the restaurant let itself down by being sneaky.. we had agreed a fixed price meal including two poppadoms, but the second had to be chased up and was not automatically available to everyone; knowing that at least 25 of us were turning up, service was disjointed as they were effectively short-staffed and some attendees had started their mains before others had ordered their starters. But worst for many was that bottles of water were put on the table before we arrived – may be we were naïve but we were surprised when asked to pay excessively for these. Overall, it’s a good restaurant and the flavours are wonderful, but I would be cautious going as a big group and be forewarned on the drinks bill being loaded. Hence knocked...

We arrived fifteen minutes early to our 7 pm booking and were seated with a smile. The restaurant is small but well laid out. It's clean, tidy, and decorated appropriately.

We phoned ahead because I have lots of food allergies and they were confident they could accommodate us. They made me a chicken tikka from scratch without almonds and it was amazing. They added cheese to garlic naans for us.

We had a selection of starters including the Salmon tikka and the potatoes with garlic mushrooms. We had an array of mains, naans, rice, and a saag aloo. And we had the limoncello for dessert. All the food was a good portion size and delicious.

The staff were friendly, helpful, and welcoming. They were well informed about the menu but still checked with the chef to be certain and were upfront that they were checking.

Our first and last time eating from here! Worse take out received in a very long time after so many enjoyed meals from here we was left shocked by what we got tonight. All meals saturated in oil from the curries to the onion barjis, we ordered a chicken chatt puri and did not receive the flat bread that comes with it and myself who is currently pregnant ordered tandoori wings only to bite into one that was not cooked properly and was still raw!!! I proceeded to check all the other wings and they was the same. When we rang up to complain we was told that flat bread does not come with the chicken chat puri and that the tandoori wing meal will be credited to us on our next order to which we will NOT be ordering ever again and £40 worth of Indian slung into the bin.
