Having been told how nice the park is, we decided to visit recently. As my wife is disabled we found the blue badge car park, which has been given over to a money making parking company. Between them and the City of London, they demand you have an additional permit to park, which we obviously knew nothing about. I spent a merry ten minutes jumping through hoops to apply for the permit, which we presumed was made valid for the day we were there. Sadly not the case! After we had left the park and were on our way home we received confirmation that the permit had been approved and was valid 2025/2026 - BUT FROM MIDNIGHT THAT DAY.

It said nothing about any delay on the notices, the application process,or evenon the City of London website about the park, so we have been successfully scammed and discriminated against by the a.n.other parking firm! Needless to say, we are appealing but I felt the need to issue a warning to any prospective visitors;

IF YOU ARE A BLUE BADGE HOLDER AND WANT TO VISIT GOLDERS HILL PARK BUT DON'T HAVE A PERMIT, QUITE SIMPLY DON'T. YOU WOULD NEED TO APPLY FOR THE PERMIT BEFORE YOU VISITED - BUT OF COURSE YOU WOULDN'T BE AWARE, WHICH IS WHAT THEIR SCAM RELIES ON!
