We thank Allah there is a musjid in the area. However , something which needs to be addressed is the length of the khutba. For a musjid which claims to follow the Quran and th Sunnah , their khutbah is ridiculously long, minimum 30 minutes in average and last week it started approximately 1:15ish and finished 1:54ish. This is absurd.
( this is based on the presumption that the khutbah will start on time which it rarely does! , sometimes there’s time given for sunnah, sometimes there’s announcements , sometimes the imam is late but seldom does it start at the time advertised!)
Firstly people have responsibilities such as work. Secondly, when the musjid becomes full people wait outside, it was very sunny that day and people had to wait under the sun. Thirdly and most importantly, it goes against the clear report of the Rasool صلى الله عليه و سلم :
Prolonging the prayer and shortening the Khutbah indicate one's religious understanding. So prolong the prayer and shorten the Khutbah.” [Muslim]
This is all based on my experiences at the musjid. I have emailed them about this but unfortunately didn’t receive a reply.
I’ve seen people leave during the khutbah and many falling asleep as it’s simply too long for the normal person.
It’s very disappointing that the imaams don’t take these factors into consideration. In addition, due to the length of the khutbah, the topic becomes very muddled making it very confusing to follow and at times very tedious.
Inshaa Allah they take this into consideration, as it affects all those who attend.
Ps this is all based on writing in Ramadan 2023 for anyone...

There was a sister whom felt the need to put her dham feet next to my head while she chatters away with her girls. Like she could of gone in from of her friends and sat and spoke. But no. some woman there have no sense. And I will honestly say whats on my mind. She clearly saw me praying and did it twice. I honestly don't care what people do. But I DON'T like to be disturbed when i am connectingwith my Allah. And then later praying my terawi. Some old antie come with a chair and tells me to move so she can sit next to her bestie and chitchat away. I was really annoyed. But the fact she was older. I didn't say nothing. In future if I wat to complain who is it that I speak to. As I don't know...
Read moreMAA SHAA ALLAH such a great mosque and very clean, parking space can be tricky but you can find the paid parking as well.
Certainly! Mosques are places of worship for Muslims. They are typically known for their distinctive architecture, including minarets and domes. Inside, you’ll find a prayer hall where Muslims gather for daily prayers, and the Qiblah wall, which indicates the direction of Mecca, is an essential focal point. Mosques often play a central role in the spiritual and communal life of Muslim communities, serving not only as places of worship but also as centers for education and social gatherings. Big space for worship and you can feel the positivity and mindfulness. Management done a really good job thanks for keeping it to...
