Very poor delivery service. I ordered online for delivery and select a hour time slot of an hour for the food to be delivered to my house. About 20 minutes later I received a call from the restaurant stating that my delivery will be 50 minutes late as the delivery driver hadn’t turned up. So I asked for the food to be made so that I can collect at the time when my food was supposed to be delivered to my house. The manager/member of staff said ok. I arrive at the manager then says to me that he said that the food won’t be ready till 1 hour later as now the chef said he can’t get it ready. I was furious as I had finished work and I had a young child to feed. I asked for my money to be refunded to my card. The manager flaps around with the card machine for about 5 minutes and says to me I don’t know how to refund my money on my card. He says to me can’t I retrieve the funds from my own card?!! What a criminal! The manager then stated that he doesn’t know what to do. I tell him he would have to refund me in cash. He opens the till and says he doesn’t have enough money in the till. He eventually ask her colleagues for £20 and refunds me my money which is £31. I received no apology. This is the worst service I have ever received by any restaurant. It is clear to me that the staff have never run a proper business in the lives. I won’t be using them again. Advice to the staff that if the business is run like this for much longer I cannot see the...
Read moreWe went to London for a couple of days and we stayed at the Travelodge in Woolwich. The restaurants in the area are mostly selling grease; deep-fried chicken, kebab, burgers, that kind of stuff. We're more into healthier food - I do enjoy a good burger, don't get me wrong, but that stuff was just really unhealthy. We did however, find two good places to eat: this one and Viet Baguette on Anglesea Road.
At first glance, the place looked clean but a bit uninviting. Everything was white and the light was quite cold. The menu looked good, though, so we gave it a go.
Good thing I did.
The staff was polite and friendly, the tables were clean and Ganesha was gazing down upon me. So far, all good. We ordered a bunch of stuff - samosas, onion bahjis and salmon tikka for starters. I must say, those are some of the best bahjis I've ever had. Main course was chicken tikka for me - good naan, too - and erm, palak paneer for my wife. Very good, a bit to cream rich maybe but really very good. I thoroughly enjoyed my food and the service.
We came here twice and I'm very happy about what they offer. Apparently, a lot of local Indians (Nepalese?) come here too, so that is a good sign. So, for tourists visiting and a looking for a good place to eat: this is safe and enjoyable. Come here, by all means. I...
Read moreI came here for a birthday dinner with my family and was recommended this restaurant. Please to say, this restaurant served above our expectations and we had an amazing time there. the food was absolutely delicious, especially the jhol momo! we also ordered the mutton sukuti chatpate which has got to be the number one out compared to my two other favourite nepali restaurants. the chicken biriyani was also very delicious and wasn’t too oily compared to most other ones. the service was very good, and the wait time for the food was not too long. And most important, the price for each was very appropriate and the value was worth it. Overall, great experience and we will be back to...
