I visit this park when I visit my family in London, there is a variety of equipment (children, toddlers and exercise equipment). however, as an older/taller child, I can safely say that the equipment is not designed to be used by children aged over 10 years old. Although the park's play equipment has been rebuilt with some new, exciting features (such as floating pods and rope bridges), I cannot use this equipment as I often hit my head on a lot of the equipment. it is much more suitable for smaller and younger children to use but the older children may feel a bit upset because they want to play on the equipment and can't! there is also a field area for you to run around, walk dogs, have picnics. this part of the park is much better because it is a more free area and you can do what you like in that space without being restricted to what the play equipment is designed for. the exercise equipment is used mainly for adults, and I see a lot of older people o this equipment. there is also a set of children's exercise equipment, although the younger kids do still try to use the adult equipment! This might not be my favorite location, or my first recommendation to a friend, but it is a good place nonetheless and I would 100%...
Read moreLarge green space with outdoor gym, 3 tennis courts (bookable), basketball court, children's playground with swings and monkey bars etc, play fountains (in summer only), plus a couple of hammocks, a table tennis table, and walking track. Get your own table tennis bats and balls. Tennis court charges: Standard charge: £9.30; Senior citizens and children under 16: £4.95. Get tennis lessons from Steve at the courts! Unfortunately, you sometimes get some anti-social behavior with unsavoury types hanging about smoking 'funny stuff' and old men drinking away. Lovely in summer - people sunbathing in the green and having barbecues & picnics (with disposable barbies) - though I'm not sure it's strictly allowed or not. No restrooms, one small cafe run by a charity that's not open all the time. Lots of...
Read moreWalking through the Kilburn Grange Park, my female aquaintance and I were rather perplexed as to the 5* ratings. Not that this park doesn't have charm - it does, the excellent climbing frame and tennis courts certainly set it above average, and the central rose garden is a nice touch - but we did feel it lacks a certain 'je ne sais quoi'. A few immediate issues need touched upon: the kid's water cycle does not run and to quote a previous reviewer, 'but where's the toilets?'. The outdoor gym is a good idea but needs some fine tuning (somebody oil the tai chi disks!). Despite our criticisms, the Kilburn Grange Park is well deserving of 4*. It is well maintained and will be sure to please all ages. We had a pleasant walk here and the park is an absolute asset to the residents of Kilburn and...
