A great park, huge green space, paved paths all the way round (ideal for bike rides/roller skating/buggies). There are basketball courts, free tennis courts, an enclosed playground with zip wire and a permanent paddling pool (only has water during kids summer holidays apparently). There is a softplay/cafe in the pavillion, but this costs money. No public toilets (there are some, but locked on a Saturday? So I presume never open?). Small carpark. Off road parking near-by. Dog friendly park. There is a crazy golf course. But again, not open on a Saturday. The extra bonus of this park (that my daughter loves) is there is a public footpath right at the back that goes through horse fields. You can stroke them and watch them to your hearts content! Also, if you walk past the horses, turn left at the end, take your first right and follow the path up through the housing estate (Hamptons) there is a wetlands area with ducks, loads of fish (who LOVE bread) and a swan couple (who have 2 signets right now). Easy to navigate with a buggy/scooters/bikes as all paved or decked with wood.

Did you attend the Wellness Fair at Sir Joseph Hood today? If not, you certainly missed out on a lovely event. There were quite a few stalls and the live entertainment was fabulous. Lots of yoga, and dancing with JV Dance Fitness bringing the event alive with his fantastic dance moves. Great entertainment had by all. If you haven't been down to Sir Joseph Hood, it's a 2 hectare park, with a lovely play area with a kiddies pool and picnic area. There is also a small Putt Putt course (Mini Golf) and a soft play area. Dogs are welcome, so you don't have to leave your best friend at home.

Nice park, I go for a daily walk with my dog 🐶 and running 🏃‍♀️… I would suggest to clean and “support” the part close to the river as has a good potential to become a very amazing part of the park. The nearest of horses is a plus as they have now opened for lessons. Very busy during the weekend due to football clubs using the place for training. There is a very nice and safe playground for kids, table tennis 🏓 and tennis 🎾 free to use!!

Lovely park and nature filled environment. My local park where I walk my girls daily. And a childhood park.

It's a clean park where majority clean up after their dogs. It's sad to see that some people are very careless and don't do the same. "What's with picking up, bagging it and then leave on the floor"? There are bins everywhere in the park!

Back to beauty, there's a fantastic pond with so many wild flowers, BEES, Butterflies and I think I saw a Dragon Fly or two!

We love the mini Stone structure and always stop there for a picture.

Outdoor work out area. Tennis courts, kids playground and much more.

An extremely peaceful and well looked after cemetery. A beautiful place for reflection and appreciation of the lives, love and memories shared by families and friends.

You always find something New and beautiful. I...

I normally come here to use the basketball courts which have metal chains. They have 4 regular-size hoops and 2 smaller-size hoops. If you're looking to teach someone the sport I would highly recommend it as it can cater to all ages. People hardly play football but there are two hoops situated on the concrete football pitch. They have roughly 4 tennis courts, side by side where people are normally playing tennis. You have a big metal fence which separates the tennis courts from the basketball court and the rest of the park. There is plenty of parking so if you did want to drive there, theres free parking and loads of spaces. There is a big field which normally have either football or rugby events going on. It also has an outdoor gym, it does have public...
