Beautiful park with a lovely pond centrally located where you can hire pedal boats. There's a small gallery which hosts a variety of events and showcases local art. A fantastic gated children's play area and a small cafe are located adjacent to the pond. There's a large bandstand at the southern end of the park which is used throughout the summer for various events, and the park plays host to a 10 km fun run every Saturday morning.
The Southwark fireworks spectacular is one not to be missed. This free show is offered to Londoners free of charge and offers a mesmerising fireworks display which is perfectly choreographed to music, with humour, grace and style. Local vendors also set up so you can grab a bite to eat or a drink too. The park features a path which runs the entire circumference so you can take a stroll around the whole park easily, there are benches located at regular intervals throughout the loop.
Unfortunately there is a road which effectively splits the park in two, both ends of the park are gated but be careful walking with little ones who might be tempted to rush out - as there is often traffic traveling back and forth along this road.

Read moreNice spacious park where you can use the multi-gym, play cricket in the surrounded net area, play a number of sports on the grass, feed the birds and swans and ducks near the pond area and relax in the flower garden for a bit of peace of quiet.
There's a restaurant you can check out for ice cream. Toilets are open but at times there maybe a lack of toilet roll available so do bring some tissue just in case!
The atmosphere is very chilled and calming.
Watch out for cyclist as at times they do not ring their bells or alert others when near approaching from behind so be mindful!
Tennis courts are available but do get busy during the day so arrive early to avoid the queue.
There is a car parking area which you will obviously have to pay. (I think) LOL
The park does get busy during weekends with people playing music, having little birthday gatherings and things like that.
There is a nice little park area for children to swing and slide!
