Stockley country park is deceivingly large. There are ponds and woodland and its great for dog walking. It adjoins Stockley golf course which means that you can extend your walk around the course and business park. In the business park there is a greggs, subway and a costa for a cheeky snack (even at weekends)! You can spot canadian geese, egyptian geese, herons, cormorants, egrets and more on the ponds around the park. There is stable and some loose horses on the golf course side, so be aware if you are walking a curious doggy, like mine, to pop them on the lead while near the stables. Benches really old and run down. Needs a picnic area with new benches and bins. Car park gates close way to early even though its summer and daylight until late in evening.
