This is a nice park to take the kids. It isn’t large but is plenty big enough. There’s a playground that’s suitable for younger children and then a few play items that are better for slightly older kids. There’s a pond that often has ducks, it is not fenced so be aware if you take young children. There’s an area that is hidden from the rest where teenagers like to hang out, often smoking things that they shouldn’t so my kids have been told to avoid that area. There’s also a small wooded area. The best bit is the cafe with a very friendly owner. It has just been done up and so there’s a larger inside seating area and outside seating. The small lake / pond in the middle looks a bit neglected but the presence of various birds show that's the way they like it. The cafe is well run and has friendly service. My kids are grown up now but the playground looks even more popular than it was when they were little and it was a nice little playground back then. I spent so many happy summers in that park with my family and friends, I just feel it is a space that needs a little bit more maintenance.
