Free entrance. Well lit and spacious, with lots of sitting spaces. The staff seems helpful and the there are plenty of books. Some bookshelves seem to be mislabelled (religion books are placed under philosophy for example). However, the environment is conducive for working and studying for sure. A small Brent museum and exhibition at Level 2, which is interesting, would be nice to walk around to spend some time.

My local library - absolutely love it. Large and has many floors, inclusive to all age groups. Last minute printing saved my life once. Very quiet and exactly what you need from a library.

Looks good outside and inside but it stinks unfortunately so I couldn’t stay more than 10 minutes

Library looks brand new. Staff are very nice.

However if you are looking for a quiet place to read or study, this is NOT it! There are high school kids here all day talking and messing around - I heard a staff member tell them to be quiet once, however this had absolutely no impact.

The building is designed terribly from a "peace and quiet" point of view. There is an atrium in the centre which means no matter what level you sit on you can hear all other levels. They have a kids club most mornings which is a great idea however due to the design of the design of the building, the noise can be heard in all areas (except the quiet room discussed below).

There is 1 quiet room in which 16 people can study (albeit it side by side) however it fills up very early in the day. Unfortunately staff open the windows to this room in the morning. The windows are directly above the entrance where people tend to chat and mill about and where there is a large amount of traffic.

I've been trying to study here from 3 May to today (9 May 2017 and have found it extremely difficult. I'm surprised, with the large number of staff and security guards, that more isn't done to create a more "library like"...

The library staff are lovely but this place is full of people that lack in basic manners.

I went to go on a computer and was unaware that the computer was locked until I actually sat down (I didn't try and log him off). He came back and tried to have an argument with me even though I was moving, apologised and explained to him that I was unaware until i sat down.

Another occasion, I moved all my stuff to go on the computer and this man took the seat. I was confused as it was clearly obvious I was going to use it, since I moved most of my stuff. So, I politely told him that I was going to be using it and he replied in a volatile demeanour "but does it have your name on it." Avoiding conflict, I then moved my stuff on to another computer.

Both of these men were not even working, but watching videos and being loud in the silent study area. All I wanted to do was to get on with my work in a safe environment.

Another incident was with a visitor being uncomfortably rude to a staff belittling her by asking if she spoke English. There was unfortunately no security at the time this...

The building is nice, the people inside...not really. 'Nice' isn't the right word, though... It would be 'respectful'. This library is full of teenagers whose parents haven't taught them how to behave in public places, in particular libraries, where people go to study and read in a quiet environment. I went one day, I needed to study for 2 hours without any distraction/noise. I was pretty disappointed when I had to leave after 10 minutes as I was getting an headache. The most bothering thing is not the fact that teenagers talk. It's their nature, I guess, even though I've got some counter-arguments on this. The most bothering thing is that no one from the library staff does anything to avoid/prevent/fight this. I felt like I was the only one bothered by the noise! (But, trust me, I would rather study on a full bus instead of that library). So, I'm sorry, very nice building, but chaotic (too chaotic) environment...
