Title: A Disastrous Dining Experience
My recent visit to Lezziz Charcoal grill was marred by an unfortunate and unacceptable incident that left a sour taste in my mouth. I arrived at the restaurant with my family, only to find there was no available space, and we had to wait in a queue. This wasn't a problem, as we were willing to wait our turn.
However, things took a turn for the worse when the manager intervened. Four other patrons arrived after us, and to our shock, the manager gave them the available space instead of us. We immediately raised our concern, as it seemed that we had been clearly waiting longer than the newcomers. Unfortunately, the manager's response was not only disappointing but also incredibly rude. He insisted that the other party had been there before us and refused to check the security cameras to verify the order of arrival.
As a compromise, we suggested waiting for an additional 50 minutes, but this proposal was met with dismissive indifference. The manager coldly informed us that if we couldn't wait, we were free to leave, concluding with a curt "goodnight." It was apparent that our legitimate concerns were falling on deaf ears.
Disheartened by the unjust treatment, we decided to leave the restaurant, but not before voicing our complaints to the owner. To our relief, the owner's attitude remained respectful and fine. However, it was the manager who escalated the situation further. Instead of addressing our concerns with professionalism and respect, he resorted to using offensive language and engaged in an argument with us outside the restaurant.
As we exited the establishment, it was the manager who pursued us outside, continuing to berate us in front of the restaurant. It was an embarrassing and unprofessional display of anger, with other staff members trying to intervene and restrain him. Such an aggressive and uncalled-for reaction by a restaurant manager is unacceptable and unexpected in any dining establishment.
In summary, our experience at Restaurant was overshadowed by the deplorable behavior of the manager. While the food and ambiance may have been promising, the appalling customer service and disrespect demonstrated by the manager tarnished what could have otherwise been an enjoyable evening. I sincerely hope that the management addresses these issues promptly, as such behavior is detrimental to the reputation of the restaurant and its ability to retain...
Read moreMy partner had a takeaway from this restaurant in December so we decided to come along and have a sit down meal. The arrival was quite efficient and we placed an order for the mixed grill which would serve 3 people comfortably and also included two cold mezze additions. We felt this was great value. The food came and looked delicious, and we tucked in. The cold mezze were exceptional, however, we did have an issue with some of the grilled meat. The lamb ribs were served in a large quantity as part of the platter, and were extremely tough and just mainly fat. A slight tad unpalatable. I let my partner eat them as just couldn’t chew through the fat to get to any meat. The other grilled meats were cooked and seasoned well. I did have an issue with the salad they provided, it was drowning in the dressing which they should provide on the side and not directly on the salad. The dressing was an oil and a pomegranate molasses which was too sweet and overpowered the simple salad and I just couldn’t eat it with the grilled meats. During the start of the meal we felt an absolute blast of air for a good ten minutes so I enquired if the air conditioning had been turned on in the middle of January and the staff member replied ‘no we’ve just opened the door for a while’.???? I raised my eyebrows (as I wasn’t expecting to sit through a gale force wind whilst having my dinner), this did prompt them to shut the open door. Other than this incident the service was passable but a little annoying to see so many waiting staff hanging around in cliques just chatting and not paying to much attention to the customers even when the customer was trying to get their attention at the end of a meal or to pay. Otherwise food was good, won’t have the ribs...
Read moreI've given a lower rating than is probably fair, as this restaurant is actually very good. However, there is a problem with the service that I hope the manager will listen to.
The service here can be quite bad, in my experience. It seems strange because you can tell that the overall vision is very good. The restaurant itself is very nice, the food is fresh and always perfectly cooked, the prices are reasonable and there is a great vibe. Also, you can see that the service staff work really hard. They don't ever stop working. So what is wrong?
The problem I have is that it's really hard to get the attention of the waiting staff. They are always rushing around, and seem to purposefully avoid making eye contact. The waiting staff seem to be absolutely devoted to seating guests and clearing tables. This seems to be their big priority.
Taking orders, taking drinks orders, checking everything is okay, giving the dessert menu paying, all these things seem a real challenge. The staff seem more focused on clearing tables and seating new customers. Every time these waitors come near you, you think you will be able to get their attention and ask them for what you need, but they will not look around. They must fulfill their mission of clearing tables. So your meal becomes a constant challenge of getting the attention of the waitors. The only thing you will not need to ask for, or wait for, is for your plates to be taken away. Within 30 seconds of putting down your knife and fork, your plate will be cleared away and your table wiped.
I would encourage this restaurant to rebalance the responsibility of the service staff. Ask them to relax about clearing tables and instead to focus on the diners and...
