Roundwood Park in Harlesden has become one of my favourite escapes in while residing in Wembley. Tucked away in NW10, it’s a beautiful, well-kept green space that still holds a lot of its original Victorian charm. The moment I step through the gates, I feel like I’ve left the city behind. The landscaped gardens are stunning all year round, especially in spring and early summer when the flower beds really come alive.
There’s something peaceful about strolling along the paths, past the aviary where colourful birds chirp away, and toward the quiet pond at the far end of the park. It’s a perfect place to clear my head or read a book.
When I bring the kids, they run straight to the playground, which is always a hit. There’s plenty of space for them to explore, and on weekends, we sometimes catch local events or small fairs happening on the lawns. Not to mention the helpful cafe for casual snacks.
Whether I’m going for a jog, enjoying a picnic, or just need some time out, Roundwood Park always delivers. It’s a true gem of the neighbourhood, a park just the...
Read moreEvery park itself is nice but it is really dangerous how people let their dogs (especially large dogs) run around freely when children and people are also in the park. I understand you trust your own dog but we don't know your dog! And all animals can behave unexpectedly especially if someone is scared/not trusting stranger dogs because they have bad experience just like me! The animal can attack those people because the dog can sense this. Many times, I was barked at by and almost bitten by dogs in English parks. It almost escalated. Some dogs are really-really kind and friendly, but you never know how your dog will behave with a stranger! I understand you want to let your dogs run around freely, but it can cost you a lot if it bites someone, and it is highly dangerous! Why don't you put your dog on an extendable dog lead? They can still enjoy rooming around like that, and everyone is safer and can enjoy the park. Now I have to avoid dogs all the time! And don't get me wrong I truly love all animals but still...I don't find this fair on...
Read moreI went for a walk through this park just few days ago. There was a strange guy staring at me from the bench next to mine.Asked me if I’m Arabic but he appeared so hostile so I didn’t wanted any interaction so I said no and I’m busy signalling that I’d not like to be disturbed. He kept staring at me for long long time after. Then I moved a few benches away from him.Out of nowhere a few other guys who also appeared strange as from another country chat with him and strongly seemed up to something.they all chat for a few minutes and all split going in different ways in the park but the same guy who approached me-went on another bench behind me and watching me.I left the park and don’t feel safe to return there. This Roundwood park should be monitored as it feels like strange guys are up to something in there. The impression it gives off felt very unsettling in a bizarre way.Like suddenly your mind tells you to go right now from there. Will not return there alone...
