This park is always a pleasure and landmark pride for someone like me a local and someone brought up in newham . .its a beautiful well looked after park when your in this park you are surrounded by trees and greenery. There is a beautiful flower garden boasting all kinds of flowers and a pond this is gated from the rest of park with different rules to ensure it is used appropriately by the public who want to enjoy the flowers and calming scenic views. They have all different sports area from tennis courts to cricket to basketball courts, and more. They have gym apparatus through out the park. The park also has two kids playgrounds side by side one for younger children and one for older children gated and which sits right next to a warden office with a large viewing window where the park keepers are able to make sure everyone is safe and people are using the park appropriately especially as the is a swimming pool lido in the larger playground for younger childrens which is usually filled and open for use (as it has gates around it) I'm summer . It also has public toilets adjacent to the wardens office. For bird watchers you would be in for a treat visiting this park as we have all sorts of birds even tropical birds that have made their home here. They have nature walks . Vegtable garden areas which is not open to public but cared for by park keepers. They have lots of open grass spaces and there are approx three or four houses on the land which is the park keepers residents. They drive around on golf buggies to get around and make sure the park is kept. The park has security gates all around and closes in the evening and opens in the morning it also has security cameras throughout but not obvious to assure public safety. When you go you see lots of local people walking in groups jogging from elderly to mothers with their babies etc everyone greets each other with "good morning" and are very friendly and welcoming aside from your very rare anomalies of anti social people but again CCTV and any reports to the park keepers usually gets these certain ones a ban from entering the park.
Overall there is many great things about this park a lot I couldn't fit in to a review it's the perfect park in my opinion and I love visiting. They also have lots of events even a funfair last year 2019. Obviously with covid it couldn't be done this year but hopefully when all is over the parks events can get back to...

Cricket must be banned from playing in this park. It is a dangerous game with a heavy ball, which can crush bones if it hits somebody in full force. Cricket is played everywhere in this park. People are playing in the park, taking up much of the park space, while others want to come and relax. You can not rest because that ball is flying everywhere, and people must be careful not to be hit. A few times, the cricket ball flew over my head while I was walking. I am lucky it didn’t hit me. Read about a cricket ball hitting someone, and you will realise that this game MUST BE BANNED from being played in these open spaces or any other parks. Maybe someone will think I am talking nonsense until someone is hit and that someone might be dead or they will become disabled for the rest of their lives, then, after that, there will be a lot of crying, sad, sad faces. STOP CRICKET IN THE PARKS OR ANY OTHER...

The gras is well maintained you can bring a blanked like many others do and simply lay down, relax and sun bathe. The park is little bit hidden in an residential area mostly only locals know that it exist which means no beggars, no drinkers, no crime. The park was mostly visited by familys and peopole who simply like to sunbathe a little bit. Many massive very very over 100 year old trees. Several benches. Open space surounded by metallic fence and lots of mid terraced houses and enrrance cctv make this park safer than most other places in London. To visit type into maps the street name : Ham Park Road . There was even on saturday afternoon 4pm and 5 and 6 pm public road parking available. Also good for rolerblades and skateing to exercise. Or just to go for a long run surounded by nature. This park seems to be 10 times bigger than...
