A massive sign stating 50% off on Mondays. The staff fail to mention that it only applies to a selected menu inside a booklet which you are not necessarily going to look through if you are ordering takeaway as they also have a menu in lights behind the counter.
Ordered off the lit menu, which doesn't stste there is cheese inside the burger. Discovered this once I got home. Went back to complain as I don't like cheese, so could not eat the burger. The main person behind the till then argued with me that I didn't tell him I have allergies (I don't, and never mentioned anything about allergies). Trying to explain that there is nothing on the menu about cheese, he told me it doesn't have to be written as it's in the picture. The picture looks like sauce to me as in the other pictures, you can clearly see the cheese melting down the side, but the chicken burger, everything was stacked neatly within the bun. Once I had enough arguing over a picture, I asked if he was going to replace the burger or not. He said yes, but will have to throw the cheesey one away as he can not sell it (I should think not). He took the bag and forcefully threw it in the bin then told the kitchen staff to make a chicken burger without cheese. A younger, happier boy apologied for his managers behaviour and tried to explain that all of their burgers came with cheese. When seeing me engaging with him, the manager came back, hushed him up and tried to continue his one-sided argument with me. The more I tried to tell him I don't want to talk to him, I'm talking to the young boy, the louder he got and tried to show me the menu within the booklet, which I was not interested in looking at. To get him to stop, I had to turn my back to him and walk away, to which he said he has shown me everything and will not be making any changes again. He then went to the kitchen and told the chef to make the burger plain. Once my burger was ready, he told me to check it.. A dry chicken breast in a bun. I told him he had done that on purpose. He then took it back and added sauce and salad, then gave it to me. At this point, someone else walked into the shop, and his whole demeanour changed, and he had a massive smile on his face, greeting them.
After so much confrontation and the man staying in the kitchen while my burger was being cooked, I didn't eat it. The wings that came with it were miniature wings that you would give a baby. The chips tasted really nice, and the only thing I could...
Read moreWorst restaurant experience of my life! Scroll to the bottom for the summary. Staff lied and said they could handle a group booking of 12 which they clearly could not as two groups of 6 on the table next to us had ordered, eaten and gone home by the time we were able to get our starters. They did not have the table ready for the time they booked us in and 12 of us had to all sit and stand around a table of 8 until this poor women was rushed to finish her food so her table could be used. Even after she left, we had to assemble the tables ourselves and ask a couple times to have it cleaned. I was asked to come to the front to make my order instead of being waited on which seemed fine at first until I realised it took 3 times as long to order because the manager was so rude and having 3 conversations at once and was not paying attention to what I was ordering which led him to make some wrong orders. When I tried to correct him, he asked me to fix it with a pen myself and walked off which I was extremely annoyed about. The waiters were so absent that my uncle had to help by bringing us our drinks and serving us instead of sitting down and enjoying the meal. After 1.5 hours we finally got our drinks which turned out to be EXPIRED BY A WHOLE YEAR! (By this point we were ready to walk out but the manager begged us to stay and said the food would be coming out in 5 mins.) After 2.5 hours from when we came in we got our steaks some of which were cooked to medium rare despite specifying we wanted them all well done. The onions on the biriyani were not even cooked properly and the burgers were undercooked too. And do not even set foot in the toilets as the sight literally almost made me gag. SUMMARY: Service and staff were beyond terrible, food was cooked improperly and EXPIRED and the toilet was vile. Do not waste your time, money or energy here as you will leave frustrated and...
