We just wanted to share our amazing experience at Manorbier castle on the 08/06/24. We booked our wedding here at least 18 months in advance & we couldn’t have been more thrilled to have chosen such a perfect destination to get wed!
We want to say the biggest thank you ever to our wedding coordinator (Debbie Lunt) who has been there for us from day one of booking the wedding! Throughout the 18 months she had checked in with us regularly to ensure our wedding planning was going smoothly & ensure suppliers were all booked in time. We had built such a good rapport with Debbie through her continuous support & making everything just so perfect for our big day! Even on the day when things hadn’t gone to plan with our suits, she maintained such a calming persona & went out of her way to ensure everything was sorted in time! We can’t thank you enough for all your efforts in making our day so perfect! Your work ethic, communication skills & personality combined are just so perfect for your role, you really are amazing @ what you do.
The castle was beautifully maintained & really set the tone with all the flowers & gardening that had taken place previously. We had so many compliments on the scenery & the calm tone it set.
All the staff @ the castle during the weekend were pleasant & welcoming. We had the best 3 day stay at the castle grounds over the duration of our wedding.
I’d like to point out we were also offered into the castle free of charge a good few times prior to our wedding date to show family around etc. which was very generous of the staff here.
All round 5 star review. Absolutely stunning destination! We would highly recommend a wedding here, overnight stay or even...

Oh, Manorbier Castle, the jewel of Wales – a place where knights once roamed, dragons dozed, and the stones whispered tales older than my grandmother's favorite knitting patterns.
Firstly, let's talk stonework – these stones are like the Gandalfs of masonry, standing tall and proud, as if they've seen more epic battles than a Welsh rugby field. The craftsmanship is so splendid; even the moss has taken up residence in style.
Now, the grounds – a picturesque haven where you can almost hear the Welsh leprechauns telling jokes to the sheep. I strolled through the grassy plains, feeling like an extra in a medieval rom-com, minus the dragons – apparently, they were off on a tea break.
As for the renovations, well, let's just say even King Arthur would say, "Alright, could use a lick of paint here and there." A few bits looked like they've weathered more storms than a conversation about the weather in a Welsh pub.
I didn't venture inside the castle – not because I'm scared of ghosts (I am), but because the real action is outside. The courtyard, a stage for the world's grandest game of invisible medieval badminton, where the shuttlecock is a knight's lost helmet.
In conclusion, Manorbier Castle is a 5-star spectacle, a place where the stones hold secrets tighter than a Welsh dragon guards its treasure. It's a delightful blend of history, with just enough renovation projects to keep the ghosts on their toes. If you're ready for a stroll through time and a chuckle with the castle stones, Manorbier is your knight in slightly tarnished armor – because, let's be honest, perfection is...
Read moreI live in this area and I love it. Manorbier Castle is a 12th century castle. It's beautiful. The views from it are outstanding so you can understand why it was built here. Close to the 12th century church. Surrounded by rural land and commanding an imposing poisition looking over Manorbier beach and bay. It lies along the Pembrokeshire National Parks Coast path, and rumour has it (I still don't know if its true), that there is a secret tunnel from down in the well to a smugglers route. But as I said, it's rumour. The castle has been used for a few films, and a TV series of the lion the witch and the wardrobe. When filming that, they put false walls across the centre and turned it into a place of pure fantasy. They he had Shakespearian productions there, with my favorite being when they did Macbeth and a wonderful eerie mist came in for the production, giving the whole thing an amazing atmosphere. They have wonderful music nights, and medieval fayres too. It's is so worth a visit. It is not massive like Pembroke Castle, but it seems to give a family feel with so much history too. If those walls could talk..... But it is definitely a good visit for a few hours of soaking up...
